Hi, Fandom! This is Dawn, and I'm here subbing for Eric Weiss, who has the flu, has been the victim of a mutiny of the crews of way too many tiny boats in bottles who were fed up with the oxygen-free living conditions, or he's been kidnapped and dragged across the world to be the sex slave for a bunch of gorgeous women or men. You decide.
Anyway, on with the news.
CLASSES: THEY'RE NOT JUST FOR GEEKS ANYMORE
...or maybe they are, but I'm such a geek that I don't care. Yay, geeks! Unite! Own your geekiness! Date a dork! Be adorkable!
*ahem* As I was saying. First, Principal Washburn announces the lucky people who have detention with Lorne tomorrow--Jack Harkness, Zuko, Teddy, and Sam W...wait a minute. Sam? Oh, I see. It's just that lottery thing. Here's hoping you're not in costume...nevermind.
Lyra stopped by Aziraphale's office hours, Dean who doesn't look like Sam except for how they're related and not so much even then stopped by V's office hours, and Aly drops in on Professor Lyman's office hours, but Aly's office hours and the, er, office office hours get no love. C'mon, Fandom, hug a member of the administrative staff! They need love too, and probably more than other people. I mean, have you seen the office? Yikes.
Those lucky ducks in Constant Vigilance got today off. We watched a movie aboutthat hack Nostradamus in Prophecy Lab. Or at least that was the theory, but there was an awful lot of talking going on. Sam harassed Dean about his black eye, Pippi told Professor Aziraphale about playing with her crystal ball and Walter being sick--and, I hate to pick nits here, but shouldn't the prophecy teacher kind of know that already?--like how he knew Lyra was having sleeping problems. Oh, get better soon, Lyra and Walter! I, of course, didn't say anything to anybody and watched the movie like a good little student. Energy and Fitness is having some kind of optional Saturday class, and I didn't know classes could be optional! I want one of those.
Then, in the 'oh my god, can't I just get shoved into a locker?' section of events, today was also the Music Class recital. Peter, and it occurs to me I have no idea which one I'm talking about here; seriously, Fandom parents, buy a baby name book or something. Anyway, one of the plethora of Peters talks to Luke before the performance. Then the performance gets going, and oh, what a miracle of modern theatre it was. Not that I saw it--I'm just going by the notes, and the squirrels were favorably impressed, snobs that they are.
A bunch of Jamies kicked each other, Pip proved he was a little bit country, Peter Griffin's milkshakes brought all the boys to the yard--um, what yard? Just for reference, you understand--Cameron was a maniac, Zero turned a bubble gum pop hit into a punk PSA experience, Jamie(s)? danced some more, Chad wanted to be a lucky gambler, Parker was a cockneyed optimist...oh, cockeyed, sorry. Squirrel smudge. That makes more sense. For a minute there I thought she just had a weird accent. Sam who isn't nearly as cute as my boyfriend Sam had extreme technical difficulties and ended up singing the worst medley in recorded history, John Dorian sang, Nadia was a no-show, so Jamie, Pete (again, I have no idea which one), and Marty thanked heaven for little girls, and ew, do your girlfriends know about this? Because I'm pretty sure that's illegalunless you're a member of Congress. Greg, yet another Peter or maybe one of the ones we've already seen, and JD did something. Huh. Okay, so this is news now. Interesting. Lorne and Jaye sang a duet and Conner wanted people to rub his bottle.
*pause* I'm so gonna get fined.
Oh, and Sam opened the library, Naomi had lunch, and Pippi grabbed her lunch to go. Okay, I didn't know we could do that either. Is there an unofficial handbook somewhere where I find out the extra stuff we can do here that I don't know about?
DORMS: WHERE THE BEDS LIVE
Not to mention, y'know, us. Cameron put up posters about a cabin reunion, and is it just me, or now that it's getting colder out, is Seahorse cabin catching pneumonia from shirtlessness a real concern? Also, MEERKAT RULES and Stickbugs are a bunch of cheating cheaters who cheat. Just saying.
In the Fourth Floor Common Room Blair made some bagel bites and shared them with River and they were totally cute, awwwwww. Aeryn punched the bag in the gym and then she and a cheerful Luke chatted and worked out. John made breakfast for Aeryn, Jack was very contrite for laughing at the other Sam, Marie and Jamie were all coupley, and so were Bel and Anders.
*long pause* Oh my god, I didn't just read that. Phoebe? If you're listening? These notes are written by squirrels and they totally misinterpret things all the time and I know Bel still loves you because he says it even when he doesn't have to and he means it, which isn't always the same thing. So don't dump him and make him go evil, okay? Because it would suck to have to kill him.
TOWN: STILL A VAMPIRE FREE ZONE
As near as I can tell, anyway. Probably more of a question for Professor Winchester or...other people, now that I think about it. Lana opens Aeropagitica, and oh my god, Giles, I've been meaning to ask, pretentious much? Why is the fact that Lana wore a turtleneck news? Or suspicious? Is there a turtleneck issue that the population should know about?
In other...I guess we'll call it news, Kaylee opened Empire Records. Aziraphale had Pippi over to work on her crystallomancy, Caritas was deader than the zombies that work there, and so was the clinic this evening. Nadia and Pippi checked on Walter during the day, though.
Finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RORY!!!!!!!
Today's birthday girl got a party thrown for her by her parents. Luke and Lyra and Jake and Bridge and Molly who talked to Luke about hairstyles--really?--and Isabel and Jack who talked to Jaye about a field trip through his bodydirty and Jaye (obviously) and Peter Pevensie and John Crichton and Aeryn and Peter Parker and Zero and Parker Parker all showed up. There were presents for Rory, naturally, and once everyone yelled surprise, she chatted with everyone like a good hostess.
Whew. I'm pooped. Good night, Fandom, and Eric? Feel b...er, I mean, resist those trampy feminine wiles with all your might and we'll send people to rescue you as soon as you let us know where you are!
Anyway, on with the news.
