WTFH, Monday, January 9th

Good morning, everyone! So I was on my way to work this morning when our lovable squirrel overlords decided that it's apparently time once more for me to do the news! What was the term the young man used yesterday? Ah, yes. 'Squirrelnapped.'

It's actually kind of fun, although I do unfortunately have to turn down the offer of rum

*chittering*

No, no, it's just because I'm working today. It's five o'clock somewhere, after all, isn't it?

School!

Unsurprisingly, things weren't terribly busy yesterday up at the school. What with it being Sunday and all. In fact, the only thing going on was that Raven was in the library, working on something of her own. I guess she had time, with no visitors.

Dorms!

Peter was finally getting frustrated at Topher being a gopher -- good timing, then, on Topher's part, as he turned back. Naked, as one does. Also owing Peter money for Doritos, which is less of a common result of turning back into a human on this island. Over in his room, Sam LaCroix was having a lazy day until Natalie showed up. They talked about Sam's philosophy class -- which I hear is nothing of the sort; I wish it had been around when I went to the school -- and then made out.

Because that's what one does at this school, really. I'm sure radio podcasts from my days will illustrate exactly that.

Meanwhile, Angelica got a letter from her old headmistress. Apparently it's 'time to return to her old school'. I'm sure you all heard the airquotes there. Angelica understandably doesn't want to go -- because Fandom is awesome -- and when Elphaba gets back to their room, she doesn't want Angelica to go, either, but offers to cook her dinner as consolation. Bobby also doesn't want Angelica to leave, so they decided to hang out on the beach before she goes.

Over in the salle, Anakin the Younger was practicing with his lightsaber -- not dirty. At least, I assume not dirty, because the salle is a public comm place. When Ben comes by, he assures Anakin that constant practice isn't a bad thing. I imagine it's a decent way to stay in shape, too. They talk about how almost their entire family's gone to school here now, from one timeline or another, and boggle at the fact that Anakin the Older is popular among the students. Kate also comes by, talking to her sword. Which glows. Hey, mine can do that, too. She and Anakin compare weapons and talk about their swords.

Mercy's up on the roof at twilight, and then, in the fourth floor common room, Freddie's watching Petey Sci-Fi when Sam -- girl!Sam, not the one from earlier -- interrupts him. Apparently Freddie really wasn't prepared for the, uh, content of the movie, but Sam successfully distracts him with roast beef and kisses.

Town!

Dolf had Nana running around at Turtle and Canary -- I believe that's his dog? I hope that's his dog, because that's either an unfortunate name for a child or an unfortunate activity for a grandmother. Blysse, meanwhile, was dealing with rather dapper horses, in top hats and scarves, at The Gig, and at Goodvalor's Little Bivoli, Zayne tried to organise his life. And Butters had an old radio over at Stark Industries.

The Boards hosted auditions for their next show, which I heard is Petey Sci-Fi -- bold choice, gentlemen. I'm looking forward to it! Auditioners were offered tea and snacks. During the auditions themselves, Miley was... apparently unfamiliar with the content of the show, as she ran away when she found out what the characters would be wearing. Really, what's the fun in that? Quinn, meanwhile, performed her song and monologue for Troy, and does know the show. No word from that one way or the other from Annie, although Jono did ask her if there's anything she won't do on stage. For your sake, Annie, if you get a part? I really, really hope not.

Jono and Troy compared hangovers -- ah, yes, I saw you both at the sleepover, didn't I? That was an interesting night -- before Kenzi brought Jono a bastardised frozen coffee drink and let him know she'd recruited Rapunzel to help paint sets. Kenzi then talks with Billy about the show; apparently this time they're getting paid, which is always nice! Kenzi's seen the show before, but Billy hasn't, so they make plans to see it and Kenzi suggests that Billy should ask Topher to join them.

The bars! The Devil's Nest is fairly quiet; Susan is at her post, reading a book, while Eric, damn the man, is there. With no hangover. I have to ask: what's your secret?

... Not that you can tell me right now. I'll have to come by the Nest some night and ask.

Caritas, meanwhile, was a little busier. Guy was at the bar, where Scott ordered a drink -- and got them free -- when he explains to Guy how the mayor is... his future alternate reality son? And I thought the potential kids only showed up after prom! And on the odd alumni Disney vacation. Scott also apologised to Jamie, who was understandably shocked -- and asked Scott to repeat it so that he could record it. Scott refused, of course.

Guy's glad to see that Dean survived his first week. Dean's just happy that there's coffee, and also his students aren't half bad. Jamie also introduces himself to Guy -- while preemptively asking not to have a drink thrown in your face. I think if you have to ask that preemptively, you probably deserve one. And Chloe was skeptical about the names of the drinks. More cartoon themes, Guy? I wonder if these ones were green, as well.

And that's all the notes I have for today! I hope I wasn't too boring for you, Fandom. If you need me, I'll be at the Clinic!
