Fandom Radio :: Saturday, December 17th.

Do-do-dooo! It's the big Texas Butters Show! And here he is, Biiiiiig Texas Butters!

Well, howdy, there, pardners, I'm Biiiiig Texas Butters! And these are my squirrels, Jingle and Bells! Happy Traaaaails to you! ♪ And with everything that happened recently, I think I know just the holiday song to start out our broadcast today. Hit it, Christina!

Boy, wasn't that nice? Now let's get to the news.

It was the last day of the semester! Waa-hooo! That meant classes at SCHOOL were pretty gosh darn easy yesterday. Fifteen Labors of Fandom had a pizza party, and we discussed what we learned about not being evil in Don't Be Evil. That women class also talked about what they learned, which probably had to do with women, and Student Council's getting a head start on thinking of winter break and spring activities! And Wesley was just glad to be jus' shelvin' books at the library, all nice an' normal and stuff.

Over in the DORMS, we had Mr. K in the first floor lobby, handing out all sort sof presents, like a beardless Santa Claus! Mostly for Miss Pie's students, who got T-shirts. Chuck didn't have a valid form of ID, but Mr. K accepted a signature instead. Miley came much better prepared with her driver's licence, and Spock just wondered if Mr. K was even supposed to be in the dorms. And Scully was mostly just sleepy.

In the stables, Gabrielle was telling some tails to Faramir's horse. Haha, tails, get it? And then, in the third floor common room, Peter decides to watch the Wiggles over reality TV, so, clearly, the Kardasians weren't on. Dany and her dragons came in, but, since she wasn't so impressed with the TV selection, either, they just muted the TV and talked about, you know, the world nearly endin' and stuff like it did last week, and Peter gets Topher to stop mocking his TV choices by changin' it to Jersey Shore an' makin' Topher flail, but, man, that makes me flail jus' thinkin' about it! They also talked about the guy handin' out packages in the lobby and Peter goin' home for the holidays.

In TOWN, Miss Granger must sure have a messy apartment if all the dust from cleanin' it's makin' her cry! At least, that's what the squirrel says it is, since it couldn't have anythin' to do with the letter she was readin'.

At Luke's Cafe, Bod was kinda worried and distracted, and so were people at the hotel, since there were gremlins singin' carols and Gunther in a slinky red dress. An' Seifer went for punk rock carols at Groovy Tunes, maybe to contend with the carol-singin' gremlins he had, too. Tara had a broom ready at the Magic Box, just in case the gremlins decided to stop singin' and start bitin', which was kinda the same reaction Miss Arya had at Coyote Medicine! And Miss Parker got to write reports to the tune of barked Jingle Bells at the Trooper Station.

Miss Adams got a visit from Miss Pitt at Turtle & Canary to try the apple pie Squishy, and Miss Jessica was back to work at Caritas. Warren wasn't sure what to get, so he tried Jagermeister and got more than one even though he didn't really like it, and Mr. Hercules joined him to find out about how Warren had to go home to check in on his dad.

Now, there was also a big show at the Boards yesterday, too, and Mr. Bolton was rushin' around gettin' all ready and everything while the performers got together backstage. Mercy wasn't sure if she needed a costume, but she did like Tara's dress, and Tara liked Rinoa's dress and was gonna help her for her piece. Karla was all late and covered in bruises, but the show must go on, despite Elphaba thinkin' she should probably rest. Also backstage, Mr. Starsmore mostly just pointed and sputtered at Karla.

In the audience, we had a wet Warren, with a Mr. Hercules who told him about how he missed pizza in class, and Dinah checked up on him and heard about how there were a lot of dead people and unmutated people at him, which doesn't sound good, and Momoko wanted to make sure Warren hadn't been at war or nothin', and that he called her when stuff like that happened. Dinah and Momoko caught up on all the Warren and Karla fightin' and the not being Nothinged and girly things, too, probably.

And then there was the show! Miley sang "All I Want for Christmas," while Mr. Starsmore and Mr. Bolton did a "Santa Baby" duet! Mercy sang a Gaelic version of "To That Night in Bethlehem," and Raven stopped bein' goth long enough to sing "Wintersong" in white. Hank rocked the house with "Jingle Bell Rock," and Elphaba told a story about Lurlinemas, before doing illusions for Karla's telling of the first Winsol. Rinoa sang some songs about winter, while Mercy, Mr. Starsmore, Rinoa, Hank, Karla, Raven and Joni the cat all got together for The Carol of the Bells. Tara dedicated her song to everyone who was missing that night and Juliet did a dramatic reading of "The Night Before Christmas." Mr. Bolton had a song about some Taylor guy, and Mr. Starsmore finished with a song by the Barenaked Ladies. Ooooh. How hip! They're Canadian!

Boy, it sure sounds like everyone had a great show! Afterwards, Dinah and Karla were all huggy and made plans to make cookies, but I hope they don't plan to also eat them, and Momoko and Karla were all huggy and girly, too. Blech. Then backstage, everyone relaxed over a good performance, like Miley and Mercy.

Well, that's all the news, folks! Happy holiday and see you next week!
