Fandom Radio- Wednesday, November 23
Morning, Fandom! This is Annie with your Wednesday news and a warning that the causeway is messed up. I got in and out fine last night, and then this morning I went to get some things and I was trying to get back for half an hour. So... be warned. You might want to pack a lunch if you're headed to the mainland.
With that PSA over, on to the news!
SCHOOL
In Ethics, we learned about the story of the lady and the tiger, and then grouped up to discuss, and then talked about our own personal answers. I'll just say, I have a lot of feelings on that one. I won't get into them here.
Bringing Literature To Life--Through Violence! lived a day in the life of a European knight! That sounds kind of cool. They even got to wear armor and joust. Then in How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse, they assembled mobile safehouses! ...While fending of zombies. Of course.
Finally, Kappa Delta Gremlin had pie. We win.
DORMS
In the dorms, it's Jacob's birthday, and Caroline apparently went way over the top for it. Considering the flyers every ten feet for Miley's party, that doesn't surprise me. Wesley sent out an email inviting everyone on island to a Reserves meeting tomorrow, and in the salle, Karla was practicing with sticks. Surreal also had sticks to practice with, which Karla didn't seem too keen on, and okay, 'practicing with sticks' has to mean something other than how I'm imagining it. Karla asked Ben if he's been practicing and he asked to spar, and Warren wasn't there for practice but got to hear about disappearances getting worse. That is probably not what anyone wanted to hear.
Nathan had a phone call that he seemed to think was someone messing with him, and in a complete change of tone, Topher was in the third floor common room when that horrible Kohl's commercial came on. You know the one. The one that adds another four seconds onto Rebecca Black's fifteen minutes but sticks in your head for three days anyway? That one. Then it got stuck on repeat over and over and over again, so Tony tried to help him fix it but that only made things worse. And then Tony had to explain... uh, bisexuality to Topher.
Someone give Tony a cookie.
TOWN
Millie was at the clinic today, listening to the nurses' problems with the causeway- seriously- while Hermione was looking people up while she was working at Cabot and Associates. Jono was at the Boards... sitting, and he and Troy discussed the food on island and how they're both going to direct the recital.
...Wrong Troy. Right. Remembering that. Karla talked to Jono about what she did in his world and how people are disappearing, and Troy- YOU NEED A NEW NAME- complimented her on her audition. Mary was dealing with Portalocity issues at the Arms, and Jaina was checking on people back home at JGOB.
I was working at Goodvalor's, where there was no Thanksgiving special, and would it kill them to get in the spirit of things? And it was Kitty's first day at Caritas, where Professor Lannifer noticed she's new and told her about teaching, and Professor Gardner told her about someone back home is missing for him. The professors had a conversation about being blue, which I think is literal, and Professor Hercules introduced himself to Kitty, who kinda knows him.
That's all I've got for today. Oh! And if you're interested in making something for our Thanksgiving feast tomorrow, we're cooking today in the dorms, so stop on by and join the fun!
