Fandom Radio, Saturday, October 15th
Good morning, Fandom. I've got a garbled message sitting on my voicemail from your usual host... *pause* ... 'Big Texas Butters' ... about being grounded. Apparently while our squirrels can tag along to Canada, Colorado is just one bridge too far.
*chittering*
Look, I don't like this any more than you do. And put the glitter flags down. I brought a shovel.
Back in the old homestead, Professor Madrox has usurped the school building and is currently redecorating the teacher offices. Professors? You might want to hurry back before matters really get out of hand. Pink fuzzy bunnies, meese and Jello have already been spotted, and it's only a matter of time before things get worse.
Elsewhere, Rapunzel is enjoying the quiet of the dorms - my thoughts are with you - with some cookies and a book. And that's it, because the rest of you were here. Formerly Newfoundland.
Because everyone packed up to get on the cruise for the last stage of our trip, and really, can we get more reliable wifi around here? Please? People bummed around their hotel rooms one last time, including my brother and his bee-eff ... eff.
Sorry. These abbreviations are adorable, but hard to remember. Annie retreats to her room to avoid death of embarrassment - I'll send you a mask - while Tyrion, Petra and Bo tackled the spa - figure of speech - one last time. Rilla's got her kid at a babysitter so she pigged out at the restaurant. Gabrielle... got stuck faceplanting in the lobby. Gee, I hope we didn't leave her behind. The ferry dragged us on to our next destination, St Pierre, from which we disembarked last night.
Just in case you didn't notice. Gabrielle, we're looking at you.
Lex and Mercy did the museum tour, while the landmarks got the Fandom zoo treatment via Quinn, Wesley, and their mockingjay-baby gorilla entourage. But by far the biggest troupe took on the hiking and birdwatching trail, as Tara, Seifer, Cara and Ben were reported out in the woods or whatever. Aren't you all excited? Finally, to no one's surprise, some folks shopped, some aimlessly - ah, Natalie, long time no speak - and Kenz, who got stuck with Rilla's baby. And Bart. I'm not sure which one has the shortest attention span, personally.
Moving on, last night got us on board this lovely vessel of the sea we're on - seriously, Topher, you have to find a way to boost this wifi - and everybody explored their lovely new rooms, like brother dearest and Mercy. Other folks decided to be more exciting and wandered the ship looking for something to do. Stephanie, that crazy kid, bounced her ass off the trampoline. Seifer checked in just to see if she was okay with him conquering the climbing wall in the name of the No Doubt Aptly Named Banana Republic of Seifer. Topher started something with security - do not get yourself put in the brig, Topher. Wifi. Priorities. Bart did the arcade thing.
Bruce also got up on the climbing wall, presumably to thwart Seifer's plan for rock-wall-domination, and wound up ogled by Ben Skywalker. Really, kid?
Dave also did the arcade thing, but serendipity intervened in the way of Topher, who wanted his help hiding some tickets. A lot of tickets. What did you do, Topher?
Finally, the restaurants dealt with an influx of hungry teenagers such as myself and Bruce. Annie opted for ice cream therapy instead. It lured in a Rilla, who got to hear the whole Sad and Tragic Cautionary Tale of Why We Don't Call People Names Via Public Channels. Then Bart came along and distracted her with, I don't know, a mountain of ice cream. Someone's going to have a nasty shock when his metabolism slows down.
Finally, the entertainment section saw Cassel tackling the champagne bar - fight the power, kid - and sent Hanna scurrying into the boutiques for what I'm sure are essential groceries.
And that's all you did yesterday, folks. Professors? Make sure to call home and check in on Professor Madrox. I think the isolation might be getting to him.
