Fandom Radio- Wednesday, August 3

Uh, hi, everyone. So at first I was disappointed that we moved back to the dorms so quickly, but I looked over my notes and I'm thinking now maybe that was a good thing. Away from the big creepy rock is good. Let's just get to it.

SCHOOL

Classes were on just like normal today, with Creative Writing writing about... a mysterious rock. Okay, so we might be further away from the rock, but at least it's still on everyone's minds and everything. After working on their assignment the students shared with the class. Try Not to Die!! was in the Danger Shop but it was a planet called Coruscant, which at least didn't have the teddy bears that wanted to eat people. We had to go to an alien diner and eat ten Sulfurous Moon Sliders which I'm pretty sure is why I still feel nauseous today, and then we got to either climb 547 steps to the top of the Jedi Temple while counting the steps, of you could go to the Senate and make money doing performance art. We all checked in, and Lion- came in first today.

Tricks, Cons, and Bamboozles went on a field trip to see a Broadway show about an epic con job. That... seems like a pretty great field trip. They waited at the causeway and got to see their teacher dork out- the squirrel said it, not me- and then they got to go to Times Square and see the show and I swear I'm only a little bit jealous. Okay, a lot jealous.

Bo wasn't feeling great in her office when Kenzi came by, and Rinoa had the library open in case anyone wanted to research the rock, but the science classroom was also open so people could check it out and study it. Yeah, I still want to stay away from the thing? I'll be in my room. I appreciate the work you guys are doing, though! Professors Porter and Granger were there to watch everyone who showed up, like Tony Stark, who also dorked out today. Again, it was the squirrel. Tony also wasn't glad to see Topher there, but they got down to business anyway, Scully recognized Topher as the guy who wanted to run experiments on people- ew- but then he also got blusy at Claudia. Awww. Tony asked Claudia if she had theories, and she said that maybe the island was molting, or that the rock was an alien egg. I am not even a little bit behind those theories for very different reasons. Marshall and Scully also went over theories and were generally excited about the whole thing, though Spock definitely was not. They got to poke around at it, and Marshall and Claudia did acid tests on it and Scully wondered at Claudia if maybe it was alive. That is another theory I just do not like. Scully also noticed that it doesn't react to water, and the teachers were around so she asked how long they had to examine the rock. Hopefully they'll have something more definitive soon.

Because seriously, I'm perfectly fine in my room.

DORMS

Speaking of rooms, Peter was in his, emailing, when Topher brought him a spy camera. Which we all know he has now. Karla and Warren were playing cards when Warren just started getting sick, and she called people to help. Um. Uh oh. Raven teleported in to try to heal him, and Sookie brought soup and found out that Warren had been checking out the creepy mysterious rock everyone's studying. You know, the one the authorities sent us away from? Bobby came by and wondered if Warren was sick with something called the Legacy virus, which doesn't sound that much fun, and then Bobby was upset when he and Sookie went back to his room afterwards.

In lighter news, Toby was watching television on the fifth floor, and Sam LaCroix found out Toby forgot about his date with Kenzi because he went to look at the rock.

Oh. Well, this is potentially awkward. Mercy asked if Sam was grumpy again today, amd Sam and Kenzi talked about the TV show and about her winning the yelling competition. Please don't try. Also, I could beat you. Kate Daniels came in search of food and ended up talking with Toby about how insane the talk shows are, and Mercy just wanted tea, and she worried Toby when she seemed to be sick but she said food just didn't agree with her. Okay... Kenzi also confronted Toby about who he ditched her for, and he got to say he went to see a rock. Honestly, that can't be a good conversation to be on either side of.

Now, I don't have a ton of experience here, but I'm going to make a huge assumption and do a little PSA for the boys here: Girls don't like it when you stand them up to go see rocks.

End PSA.

TOWN

At the clinic, Millie was puzzled by Ronan's list from yesterday, and apparently... So animals are changing. Well, the teal deer are, I don't know what alots are. Oz, Faramir, Hook and Kate Daniels checked things out, so maybe you could ask them? Professor Skywalker had to deal with reports at the trooper station of people seeing weird things- I'm sure those things aren't connected, really.

Zayne was hiring at Goodvalor's Little Bivoli, which might be the greatest name for anything, Sookie was texting at Luke's till she suddenly started making soup and left, Alice was restless at Groovy Tunes, and Mary was relaxed after time at the spa. Hopefully she didn't listen to this broadcast, which will probably unrelax some people. Emma was diamondy and annoyed at the Devil's Nest, and I'm pretty sure at least one of those adjectives was wrong, and Peter stopped in to see if she knew anything useful about the rock. Sookie came in complaining that her brain was "itchy", which can't be good, because those shouldn't itch. I'm sure someone somewhere has done a study on it. And Ronan was surprised to see Emma in her diamond form. Okay, so maybe that adjective wasn't wrong after all. Sookie asked Eric if he'd ever seen anything like this, which he hasn't, and then he told Jaina about the evil dirt over the phone. If the dirt is evil, too, I'm moving. I'm just putting that out there.

That's all for me today. Stay safe, everyone, if you need me, I will be where the rock is not.
