Fandom Radio, Tuesday
Good morning and good day after the fourth, fellow Fandomites. This is Peter Wiggin for WTFH radio, and we're currently sitting just outside good ol' London Town, after spending the past two weeks out in the Greek archipelago. Newbies to our shores, don't worry, this kind of thing just happens. If you have any questions, I'm sure your siblings will be happy to answer 'em.
But: it's the dawn of a whole new week of classes, so let's get on with the -- *thwock* --notes, ow.
How To Avoid Misadventure class brought us two new teachers, who still seem to be having some trouble figuring out their lesson plans. I'm sure they'll get it in order soon enough. The students were happy to listen anyway, except for Quinn and Miley. They had lots to talk about-- regarding the class, of course! They play the 'I'm going away and I'm taking...' memory game, and discussed what life-threatening quests they've been on.
Thankfully, I've never had to deal with one of those-- unless you count the spider knocking on my window the other week. But that's Fandom for you, right? Karla spooked Angelica by mentioning the many, many life-threatening quests she's been on. Aw, I'm sure she meant well. Quinn and Claudia talk getting stuck in different worlds. Apparently somewhere, the world really did go to hell in a handbasket last month. Warren talked about some big red demon guy who attacked him once, but by the looks of it, Karla carried him through it.
Anyway, with the life-threatening portion of the class over, Alistair prompted the class for their thoughts on the stupidest quests they'd been on. The squirrels mention some *cough* tension between the teachers, but really, that's none of our business, is it? Jack was a dog, as it turned out, and had to have Hank translate for him. The teachers were around, and Alistair was happy to answer Karla's questions about witches. Then he turned around and had a very civilised discussion with his fellow teacher.
Winter Sports class kicked off with the usual round of introductions... and luging. That sounds only a little disgusting. Students mingled; Caroline and Jack McCallister talked a little about whether they were nervous or not. I've never seen a luge before, and now I'm pretty sure I don't want to. The students took turns doing the luging thing, then told the teacher all about their favorite winter sports.
Third class in the notes is Social Activism, led by the brilliant miss Hermione, who talked about her work with an organisation called Spew. There were introductions and names of good causes, which led to Karla and Stan discussing superheroes and hometowns and... things I can't mention on the radio. Sorry, teens. Dolf and Rinoa discussed Dolf's belief that people should take care of whoever they're responsible for, which is a noble cause, if I've ever heard one.
Finally, the library was open and full of potential fireworks, thanks for keeping that in check, William, and Cooking for Beginners was cancelled because of the holiday.
DORMS
Awww. Looks like poor newbie Bart has already adopted the 'I turned into an animal' excuse, as an encounter with Karla got him turned into a cheetah. Poor guy. Bruce worked out in the gym, as you do. Then Cara showed up, and they worked through whatever wasn't bothering them by beating on each other. Hey, different strokes, right? It's the same strategy Percy employs at the salle, wrecking a bunch of dummies, and then getting himself embroiled in a verbal spar with Kate. Not-third-floor-Kate.
TOWNIES
For anyone who's already following the Cheetah versus Karla Saga minute by minute, they were both spotted at 'Dite's yesterday, chasing each other around in circles. I, for one, am glued to the radio about this one. Quiet day otherwise, with Tino calling the shots at Caritas, and no one else.
