Fandom Radio- Wednesday, June 22
Good morning, Fandom! This is Annie here with your Tuesday news, and I'm maybe still patting myself on the back for yesterday so I don't have a witty opening. Let's just get to the notes then. I'll be nice and personable, I promise, starting... now.
SCHOOL
Cupcake War Crimes actually had a final, where they got to taste test their way through mystery cupcakes. Having talked about this class for several weeks now, I'm sorry for all of your stomachs. Raven had to get help so she didn't accidentally eat the cupcakes with meat in them- ew- and ake and Caroline worked together. Also, you'll all be glad to know Rilla won last week's taste test. Go, Rilla!
Attitude: Just Deal With It! also had a final: a paint-filled balloon fight. That's an interesting concept. They had to listen to the teachers for a bit before heading off to play paintball, and they got gift certificates for pizza and ice cream. Your African Expedition Adventure! listened to a lecture and then got to go into the jungle to use the skills we learned.
Then of course there was Try Not to Die!!, where we headed into Atlantis to either jump over a live bull- wow am I glad I didn't pick that one- or go fishing with a trident. Then we got to bargain at the marketplace for a fitting offering to Poseidon, and then meet at the check-in point. And guess who won? Go on, just guess. You know what, I'll just tell you, it was me. I won class.
Oh, and then Rinoa was reading at the library before spending the rest of the day researching... alternate reality games. Okay then.
And just because I want to say it again: I won class.
CABINS
In my own cabin, Menudo, Bobby was hanging out with his kangaroo girlfriend when suddenly the kangaroo girlfriend turned into a naked Sookie. And then they discussed how bad it would be if that happened in public. A thought which will now haunt my nightmares, thanks, you two. Juliet answered Tony's phone at EMD, and Nathan went to Boyz II Men to ask Ramona for his blanket back.
Also Percy and Luke went back to the dorms for a date, which I am going to be polite enough not to go into detail about but let's just say there were date-like things.
TOWN
Finally in town, Millie was chatting with the nurses at the clinic, Alice was trying unsuccessfully to write a letter at Groovy Tunes- maybe change the music for better inspiration? Just a suggestion- and Kate just found out Alice was back so they got to play catch-up. Mary was stuck going through piles of paperwork at the Arms, and Ariel spent her shift at Pixie Dust picking out dresses for herself from a new shipment, at least until Jenny asked her to manage the store when she leaves. Congratulations on the promotion, Ariel! Freddie also came by looking for weird clothing for his show. I'm not sure what that means, but I might be slightly afraid?
Tino tried to annoy Robin at Caritas by playing her old songs. She has old songs? Oh, maybe I shouldn't ask about that, since she apparently tried to punch him for it. And over at the Devil's Nest, Emma was running late, but bribed Tiny with a shiny ball and that took care of things. Let's mark that down as the first time I've ever heard of something like that working.
That's all I have to read right now, so I'll sign off and let you all go about your day. Talk at you next week!
