Pirate Radio [Thursday, June 16, 2011]

Good morning, me hearties! It is I, Captain Jack Sparrow, bringing ye all of the news o' yesterday before it becomes tomorrow! That's catchy, isn't it? I think I may have a career in this radio thing.

First, let's start with the school. How t' Survive the Zombie Apocalypse worked on procedures that should be in place t' prevent zombies from taking over. We have one of those here, right? More than "close down Caritas"? Students discussed things like fire, keepin' weapons from the zombies and the safe houses that are already around town. Sex and Candy talked about transformations. I once spent the whole weekend as a bottle of rum! That's a true story. First the students had t' fess up about any personal transformations they'd experienced, and then they could talk about what they'd become if they could choose to transform. I like being me, personally. And Surfing learned about floaters. I....was under the impression it wasn't good t' find a floater in the ocean. There are a lot of them after a shipwreck, and it's a nasty business.

In dorms--or cabins, t' be more accurate--Jack of the Carters got an email from home, leading him to yell at his laptop about sending iCarly videos to his friends. Are the laptops finally rising up against us? I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN. Ramona and Nathan were interrupting from their smoking plans by Ramona turning into a bird. Was she in Cindy's class earlier because that would be ironic. Puck packed for a trip home, and Sookie got visited by Emma, who suggested that she combine business and psychology in some why for a career when she leaves at the end of the summer. But then Sookie turned into a kangaroo when Bobby stopped by, so maybe a job as a zookeeper might be more appropriate.

And finally, in town, me very favorite place, Kate was looking at photos, then texting on her phone instead of working at the movie theater. And now everybody knows. No need to thank me. Young William was set upon by fiddle music at Fixer-Uppers, Belle turned into a...ha! bell at home, and Lion-O was attacked by potatoes at Cafe Fina. Alexander was thinking about buying boots and chaps--boots yes, chaps no--at Things Reborn, Rude was being his usual taciturn self at the post office, and it seemed t' be the night to be out talking to your imaginary friends on the boardwalk, as both Sam and Mercy were indulging in the practice. Jessica was reading at the Devil's Nest and Nathan was feeding Ramona--who you'll remember from earlier in the show is now a blue chick--whiskey at Caritas. Someone check for a hungover bird flying into things this morning, savvy? And comely wench Alex was teaching about cruel and unusual punishment today at the community center, which possibly extends to feeding birds alcohol.

That's all I have today. Be more exciting next week. Consider that an order from old Captain Jack.
