Pirate Radio [Thursday, June 9, 2011]

Happy Thursday, wenches and...wenchers. Not a word. Me hearties! There! It is I, Captain Jack Sparrow, bringing ye the news of yesterday before tomorrow. Let's start, as is our habit, with classes.

In Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse, Columbus Ohio was visited by his imaginary friend Tallahassee who taught you all to throw bowling balls at zombies. What if there is a 7-10 split? Or is this not something I should be mentioning this close to breakfast? After limbering up and picking partners, the class kicked a little ass. And boy Alex apologized for missing class do to being a dog, as you do around here. In Sex and Candy, students got to deliver a basket of goodies to Grandmother's house! Did anyone think their grandmother was furry with big teeth? Because I reckon you either have really ugly relatives or are too dumb t' live.

*chittering*

What do ye mean, spoilers? First the students had random encounters along the path before choosing to either stick to the path and retrieve the basket of goodiesor go off into the forest to help an old woman who turned out t' be evil! Most women are, it must be admitted. She had two tasks fer ye, then it was off t' grandmother who was, like I said, a wolf, and ate the whole class!

*chittering*

Why didn't she eat the whole class? This is no fun at all.

Gabrielle had her foot propped up on a chair in the library as she worked on her manuscript, and Belle the librarian shelved the books, and Jane was studying adorable baby animals in her office. I love baby animals! Delicious with ketchup!

...what?

In dormitories, there was nothing, as ye all have moved to the cabins t' experience nature. And by nature, I mean bugs. Sam was experiencing first aid at Menudo cabin, as K-Mart--the entire store?--helped patch up his elbow from a tumble from his skateboard. That'll teach ye t' exercise. At the main campfire, Ariel was making s'mores fer breakfast. She was interrupted by Alice t' talk about the musical group choices of the cabin themes this summer and how they, naturally, have better taste than t' listen t' boy bands. If it includes Justin Bieber or a Jonas Brother of any stripe, yer argument is invalid. Peter learned that eating s'mores was a cabin requirement, and Rilla required convincing that breakfast s'mores wouldn't make her teeth leap from her mouth in sheer sugary terror. Chuck, on the other hand, approved strongly of Ariel's choice in breakfast food, and then Ariel teased Seifer with the possibility of withholding the gooey treats--not a euphemism--from him, but naturally she didn't because passing along colds is also a camping tradition.

Ramona and her pink hair were trying to roast bananas in front of Boyz II Men cabin, where Elle came by to wonder when people started to roast food on sticks anyway. I reckon when they got tired of burning their fingers in the fire. Nathan came by and he and Ramona engaged in the traditional comparisions of bananas to male anatomy before makin' out. No word if they fell into the fire. And Dave and Ramona did the 'where were ye before ye were here' conversation of early summertime.

Topher was stuck watching Eurotrip in NKOTB cabin, where he assured Alexander he didn't like the topless girl bits at all...noted...and told Richie the television was probably possessed.

And finally, in town, the only part of the island that matters, Alexander worked on inventory at Things Reborn, Lion-O got locked into a closet at Luke's--is he still there? Should someone check?--and Dinah and Ghanima met for coffee at the Perk and then the squirrel says he went on break. Speaking of coffee, Charlie had some at the police station, William was working on diagrams at Fixer-Uppers--no word on his coffee situation--, and Lindsay was looking through music magazines at Groovy Tunes. Maybe someone should ask her about the names of the cabins.

There was class at the community center tonight as Alex took her minions through the Sixth Amendment, where discussions included the importance of where the trial is bein' held, and the rights of the accused, which I am a fan of, since I very rarely did what I am accused of.

And tonight, Tahiri was unsurprised to find Jaina working at the Perk--on her own work, I assume, not pouring drinks--and Jessica was working on her nails at the Devil's Nest while Nathan worked hard at not noticing Tino's ass at Caritas.">

I leave you with that mental image. No need t' thank me! Have a good week!
