Fandom Radio- Wednesday, May 25
Hi, everyone! This is Annie, who you all voted onto radio for the summer. Which... I've never been voted onto anything before. I've been voted off stuff plenty of times, sure. I kind of feel like I should demand a recount, but um, I'm on radio! So I'm going to enjoy it and thank you all!
So, while I continue to get over that, why don't I just go on with my notes?
SCHOOL
Today, after Sam Puckett was named last week's class winner- congratulations, Sam!- Cupcake War Crimes talked about the do's and don't of vegetables in cupcakes. There was actual discussion of whether or not this is acceptable and if it's wrong to sneak them in without telling anyone. Then they got to baking, where Bod helped Jeremy, Rilla's chocolate zucchini cupcakes brought Bobby McCallister over- and wow that sounds kind of good- and Jake teamed up with Caroline. Attitude: Just Deal With It talked about when it's okay to break rules, and wait, do I really get to say that class name every week? That'll be fun. Anyway, the lecture came with bubblegum for the students to chew, and they talked about rules they've heard that are just stupid. I don't know how much anyone heard over all that chewing, though. Oh, and Nathan got to apologize for missing class because he was dead.
The weird stuff just keeps coming.
Oh! Now we're at my classes! In Try Not to Die!!, we got to go out into Tokyo. In the rain. Which, by the way, I'm already sick of. Do you know how hard it is to go somewhere in Maryland and have to explain why your shoes are squishy when it's because it was raining in Tokyo? Let me tell you, it's really hard. We got to get business cards from customers at a host or hostess club, and Cara got into a fight that Professor Skywalker had to break up. She better not have come in ahead of me. Then there was the detour, where we either got to street race, or do some karaoke, to Barry Manilow. I didn't do too bad at that second thing, I have to say. Then we got to check in and see how we ranked. Which reminds me, I should ask Sam where he came in...
And then in Your African Expedition Adventure!, we learned how to build a shelter in the jungle. We got a lot of notes and diagrams before getting to work. She talks really fast, guys.
Finally, in the library, Rinoa was picking out new reading material, including the Landocean books. So if anyone needs an icebreaker in a conversation with Rinoa, there you go!
DORMS
Topher was meditative on the dorm roof, and... *papers rustling* This is all I have for the dorms, so I think that means either no one did anything, or the squirrels were bored. We possibly bored squirrels, people. Let's work on that.
TOWN
Ariel was at Pixie Dust, turning lemons into lemonade and promoting cute raingear. Wish I'd known that before I went out without appropriate shoes. Kate told her about how Nathan's back from the dead, which didn't impress Ariel since her roommate did the same thing.
….Um, Jack, this probably goes without saying, but I won't die if you don't. Deal?
At Turtle and Canary, Shunsui was offering free towels to wet women. That's... Please tell me that just sounds kind of gross in my head. Bo came in anyway and got a towel and um, bath services, out of it... Am I really supposed to read this kind of thing on air? It seems sort of private. I guess so as long as no one expects me to get graphic or anything... Kate went to the Perk for some hot chocolate and brooding, and Emma wasn't much for the J-Pop being played at the Devil's Nest tonight. At least she had Karla coming by to talk about an all-girls slumber party to distract her?
Alice wasn't feeling well at Groovy Tunes, and over at the clinic, Millie decided she was sick of the gloomy weather and used magic to make it all bright and sunny there. Don't suppose you can do that to the rest of the island, hmm?
And that is the end of my notes, so you can stop listening to me now. Till next week anyway. Thanks again, everyone!
