Fandom Radio- Monday- May 16
*radio clicks on*
Oh. Somehow I thought everyone was joking about the squirrels and yet... here you are. And you are not the weirdest things I've heard about in the last 24 hours- no offense, but you are holding a pen and yet you have no opposable thumbs, little guy- so I am just going to move on from this very strange opening.
Hello, listening audience! My name is Annie Edison, and I'm going to be reading notes for you all tonight. Let's get right down to it and I can tell you all the news you need to know while you're probably still all bleary-eyed because it's Monday morning. And if you're still so bleary-eyed to not notice we're not in Iceland anymore, well, surprise!
SCHOOL
There wasn't anything going on at the school, since there weren't any classes, being Sunday and all. But Raven was in the library, familiarizing herself with everything since she's an aide now. Congratulations, Raven! I'm sure you'll do a fine job! Pretend I know you!
DORMS
Now we turn to the dorms, where Kate Gregson had candy and her MacBook on the third floor. It's my floor, you know. That's where I live. She asked Bod to help her out with a party, and he has to tell her mead isn't allowed in the dorms, but she was okay with that since dating a criminal is one of his fantasties- Oh, I'm not sure I should be reading this. Let's move on. When Dave came by he got to hear about the third floor party, and when he brought up the mead not being allowed thing, she told him about her Tea Party detention.
...That has to be code for something.
On the fifth floor, Mercy was channel surfing, and- oh, hey, that's me- I got to meet her and talk about homework and settling in. It's kind of neat, seeing what the squirrels say about me. In really bad handwriting.
*chittering*
It's not your fault, it's the lack of opposable thumbs. It's okay. Ariel also explained some things to me. Like gremlins. I got the lowdown on gremlins. And on changing genders. New kids, did you know we can change genders? Because we can. I thought that only happened in fish. Caroline checked in on Mercy before talking about food and how Caroline's a vampire. ...I think I am still too new for that not to be freaky. Caroline also made sure Ariel was okay and Ariel said she's waiting to dramatically reveal she's a zombie-
THAT HAD BETTER NOT BE TRUE, ARIEL.
Ariel told Mercy she's her favorite new kid for all the cocoa and popcorn, and then they talked about how Ariel used to not be able to talk about how there were fairies on the island. Of course there are. Why wouldn't there be? I'm sure werewolves exist, too. And ghosts. What haven't I thought of yet? Sprites. I bet there are sprites. Let's just assume everything exists and it'll go so much easier.
Um. Anyway. On the roof, Tony was being broody, and Butters thought he lived there. He doesn't, but apparently the roof is just where brooding people go. If I ever brood, I will remember that. Toby also interrupted the brooding because he was all about the stars, and Jack Carter- the Jack who's my roommate- complained about the heights, which Tony wasn't very helpful about. Um, Jack, you do know you were on the roof, right? Just checking.
TOWN
And finally we move on to the town notes, where Dolf moped through his shift at Turtle and Canary. I'd say I hope everything's okay, but that might sound weird from someone you've never met. Jane- Oh! Sorry, Miss Porter- gave him a hard time while he was trying to clean up eggs someone had knocked down. At least I'm hoping she was just giving him a hard time. Actually wanting to make an omelet with them? A little off.
At the theater, Mitchell was working, and was showing a movie that was all about racing and... what's "hoyay"? Anyway, Jack McCallister was at Luke's, trying to figure out what the noises coming from the kitchen were all about. It doesn't look like anyone stopped in, and I'm thinking maybe that was a good thing. Jim had his first day of work at Fixer Uppers, where he got familiar with the place and... fixed things he broke. But it looks like he made it better, so that's something, right? Isabela was at the Devil's Nest, drinking behind the bar... Is that allowed? I mean, it's not like I go to a lot of bars. Or, any.
*chittering*
Don't judge. I don't know what you're saying, but just in case you're judging, don't. Jack Priest moved into the Arms Hotel, where he fiddled with his phone, and Hermione was at the Perk, writing a letter, when Dick- ...Can't I just call him Richard? Oh, wait, I can call him Mr. Grayson. That's my teacher I just called by his very unfortunate first name. Look, I'm still meeting everyone, I don't know who's a teacher and who's not yet! They met and compared their classes, and Mr. Richards explained how he's read the police station's records and how he's teaching both Astrophysics and Arts and Crafts. That... sounds ambitious. And how am I not taking that?
That seems to be all my notes. Be sure to enjoy the new weather, and this has been Annie Edison- remember that for voting time- with today's news.
