Fandom Radio, 5/5/11

Gather around your radios, dear ladies and gentlemen. It's time for this old sailor to cast off on his final voyage across the radio waves. At least... for now. There is a new course heading for me, a new adventure to be had. So buckle into your seats, as I do not go out without a bang!

In news of the School, there was only fair Gabrielle battled the books on siege warfare. A fun filled day, that sounds.

Over in the Dorms, Dru practiced with her Malaika in the salle. One assumes that is some exotic form of weapon. Kennedy joined the girl in the salle, and they discussed the weapon and a possible traitor. Very, very interesting.

In the third floor common room, Wesley studied the fine language of the regal land of Portugal. Ariel joined the lad, and they discussed the quality of the radio. Good things only, I hope. Young Miss Alex also joined the boy, though she was marvelling that she'd graduated. I only marvel that these blasted ancient Scandinavians cannot grasp the concept of hygiene.

In her own room, Katniss read a book, until Warren visited her to talk about books. Eschewing anything quite so literary, Ender looked for a movie, and Tony stopped by to offer his suggestion. Later, Ben, Ender, and Karla engaged in viewing a movie that Ender eventually selected. That played out with a sort of droll inevitability, didn't it?

Which now brings us to The Town.

Miss Kerrigan packed up her belongings at her home. Adieu, adieu Miss Kerrigan. You shaped the lives of those around you.

Hank was drunk on the job today, proving his great competence yet again. Alexander was tired but not drunk at Things Reborn, which is an important distinction. Lion-O defended Luke's Diner from unruly Vikings, and William tinkered at Fixxer-Uppers. Dru sketched at the Magic Box, presumably when she was not playing with weapons, and Kate noted that the Mystery Sign Theater was showing a movie with yet more of the vikings.

Mr. Rude, who has an unfortunate name, stood around at the Post Office, while Miss Porter enjoyed tea at The Perk. Miss Jones also enjoyed tea, but she was at the local clinic.

In news of night life, Jessica did her duty at the door of Devils Nest while the DJ played Fleetwood Mac. Ahhh, Tusk. Bo Jones entered and was promptly asked to present her ID. Eric, as he so often does, played with his phone in his special lounge. Jessica attempted to persuade her boss she could now tend bar, to no avail. Bo then went and spoke with Eric, who did not recognize her.

Over at Caritas, Nathan celebrated his last shift by giving away free drinks and lapdances.

Oh dear.

Mr. Rude, and I mean the actual Mr. Rude and not Nathan, came in and enjoyed a free drink. Karla took Jono into the establishment and tried to get him to enjoy a lapdance. Young Jono was not amused by this, even when Karla insisted it would not constitue a break of relationship fidelity.

Poor lad.

But that finishes the news for yesterday. I bid you all a fond farewell, and know that you are not rid of me quite yet. No, I am Captain James Hook, and I am always waiting for your guard to be down.

Ahahahahahahaha!
