Last hole post!, Friday, July 16

-Stark and Travis discuss how they didn't think they'd have been in here this long, and Vitamin D deficiency, and the first thing they'll do when they're out of here.
-Rey gets a talk with Anakin up top about how they're negotiating with the Trash King, and also the Trash King is a raccoon with an app. (Feel free to say Rey told you any of that- you can also not have heard the last part if it'd be emotional whiplash or you'd want to deal with it elsewhere.)
-Annie does find out about the Trash King negotiation, and is not best pleased.
-Stark invites Faye to Chopped, and hey they can use scavenged food if it was already on her ship, right?
-CHOPPED: HOLE EDITION! Steve gets a bacon and pickle cocktail and rum-infused Twinkie from a pirate. Okay I'd actually try the Twinkie.
-In a total change from that, Hannibal presents something from the fancy stuff he's got left.
-Stark presents a dish and drink from Faye's ship and oh holy god no.
-And this is Stark and Faye putting it together, Summer you are here in spirit.
-Steve finds Ignis deciding.

-Alara gets holed, and tells Rey about how she was trying to infiltrate the compound they found out about up top. So that info can probably start making its way around!
-Dwight tries some guitar around the campfire, and Beaker requests Freebird. Dwight requests Beaker not play with fire. On one hand, valid. On the other hand, he probably doesn't even need the lighter for disaster.
-Rey tries to get some rickshaw races started. Steve takes her up on this and 1000% wins that one.
-Stark tries it too and now he owes Rey a drink aboveground.

Hole post, Wednesday, July 14

-Annie invites everyone down for blacklight bowling and vodka shots, which means she and Wanda get drunk enough for Wanda to show off her super cool superhero outfit. Also Grogu's gonna outlast us all.
-Steve tells Wanda to pace herself. Too late!
-Danny and Annie think it would be hilarious if people found them while they're drunk (look at this rate it might happen), and she asks if there have been any developments in the Steve/Danny relationship.
-Annie gets Rey to do a shot in the spirit of Caritas Wednesdays, and tells her about her upcoming superhero stuff. Cereal! Hair products! Feminism!
-Meanwhile Steve and Annie have a plan to get the boulders Rey's been pulling down and have Amaya make them into bowling balls. This is where we are two and a half weeks into a hole.
-Silver watches Rey bring down more of the ceiling (she thinks they'll be out in a week) and she gets to find out about Long John Silver voice.
-Steve offers to help haul rubble for busy work, and they want this to end with Tony blasting his way down as they tunnel up. (But like, in a way that doesn't horribly injure anyone, I should say.)
-Hannibal offers Steve food that's not beans over a fire, and tells him about the silverware that's suspiciously gone missing. It's okay, Rey saved the spoons from Chilly Boulder!
-Stark is not handling his third Wednesday here well, so Faye gets to help him through that. And show him all her shiny new silverware!

Hole post, Tuesday, July 13

-Wanda gets holed! Travis explains why he's not fans of the pirates and finds out there's a magic baby up top.
-Wanda apologizes to Din for not taking better care of Grogu (but he's still aboveground!), and she figured it'd be Lord of the Flies down here.
-She asks Steve how she can help and they come up with a plan for her to maybe catch and expand a hole.
-Annie tells her it's not so bad here, look they have a magic shop now!, and they compare costumes.
-Dwight checks that Wanda's okay and says they're fine here, aside from all the day drinking.
-Steve is optimistically Steve at Travis, who'd rather mope. They discuss the increasing would-be hole in the ceiling and how fire trucks get around the island stairs. I need an answer to this now that it's been brought up.
-Rey goes through the perishables at the Devil's Nest, so Danny figures they might as well add alcohol to them before they go bad, and he gets to find out about the Jedi thing.
-And Annie makes Rey a drink too, welcome to breakfast drinks!
-Annie tells Danny she provided a public service by bringing the bar down, and they talk about how Steve and Diego are doing, while super not knowing what Steve and Diego are actually doing. Poor Delores.
-Stark's up for Rey making him a drink which is a vodka-heavy Mistake, but one he's okay making.
-Wanda introduces herself to Bucky, who has no idea who she is.
-Steve tries to get Bucky to finally talk to him, since there's not much else to do.
-Faye finds Astrid touching up the paint on Summer's ship (Sabine approves!!) and they get to introducing themselves.
-Tipsy!Annie suggests ghost stories, and Travis tells of a legend of why you should be careful around bathrooms.
-And she tells Tipsy!Rey an urban legend that Rey ruins. Sorry.
-Tipsy!Stark tells Faye she should have come to the bar, and she tells him he's adorable. Fair.

-Steve Rogers ends up in the hole and tells Rey he got caught by a park bench a hole spit out. Also maybe his tracker could get a signal out while falling?
-Annie asks Steve if they're any close to solving this (still no) and they compare the superhero things they were on their way to when they got holed.
-Clint's impressed by Steve's entrance and asks how it's going up top.
-Sakaki gets holed, and Rey assures her there's nothing scary down here. At least, nothing scarier than this bunch, wocka wocka wocka.
-Bucky also gets holed. Danny welcomes him after some mimosas.
-Annie joins Travis in axe throwing and they get into it a little over the use of explosives to try and get everyone out. I mean, bring it on.
-Amaya checks in on the axes but Travis would rather play the darts in the foundry.
-Danny and Travis contemplate whether Beaker is immortal.
-And Travis gets mocked by a muppet for worrying about Beaker around the axes lol.
-Danny refuses to watch Beaker's attempt. Wise.
-Rey invites people bowling, though Annie has to teach her about bowling shoes and what the rules actually are.
-Stark doesn't know how to play either so he and Rey make up their own, superior rules.
-Steve's excited to bowl, and tells Rey about the guy who used to be behind the pins setting them back up. So now Rey's worried there's a dead guy back there. Nice going, Steve.
-Faye shows off her new fancy dresses to Stark, and they plan a date to wear one when they get out of here.
-And Din's gonna help Faye with a hole heist.
-Ignis is doing some training, so Hannibal offers the use of his gym.

-Travis enlists Dwight's help in siphoning gas from the trucks for the generators.
-Faye asks Stark for help in figuring out what stuff on her ship she should share/hide, and tells him how she was worried about him once she was done being mad.
-Rey and Faye take another chunk out of the ceiling with a couple spaceships. If only I'd holed Jaye.

Hole post, Sunday, July 11

-Annie/Starlight gets holed! Danny gets hugs and she realizes Steve and Diego will not be happy, and Danny fills her in on what they have.
-Rey and Annie are glad to see each other, and Annie tells her they don't really have any good ideas up top. Someone take a picture of her whiteboard, please.
-Stark checks that Annie's okay and she brought a whole bar that should alleviate some of the boredom!
-Rey and Silver get a pool date at Fast Eddie's.

Hole post, Thursday, July 8

-Edward gets holed with cannonballs, and so Beaker gets crushed.
-Travis greets Edward with a fistfight, broken up by Dwight.
-Dwight checks everyone's okay and fills Edward in, though Edward can't promise he won't shoot anyone down here.
-Beaker listens to Travis play guitar. FREEBIIIIRD.
-The cannons were Stark's breaking point, so Rey enlists his help in going though what's left at Chilly Boulder before no one ever wants to go in there again.
-Clint thinks Rey's rationale feels less like looting, and they talk about getting out of here.
-Hannibal offers Dwight food and talk about things he'd lended out to stave off boredom.
-Dwight checks on Travis and they discuss the fight and how Dwight is staying optimistic.
Hole post, Friday, July 9

-Faye gets holed, and she's very glad to know Stark didn't stand her up last week and tells him how up top they're focusing on raccoons.
-Din's surprised to see his ship down here, and she tells him she had Grogu and at least he's finding people to take care of him like a smart fifty-year-old baby.
-Rey checks that Grogu's okay, and Faye wants to know her plan to get out. She has ships to help!
-Rey does some meditation and tells Travis that she talked to Anakin and at least someone knows they're alive down here.
-Beaker's hanging with Edward and the pirates, which gets him shot out of a cannon and into Dwight.
-Rey and Silver are optimistic about her talking to Anakin, and they discuss how she tried to find him and come up with activities in the hole.
-Troy and Astrid do an adorable radio in the hole, and drag Travis into being a guest.

In the hole, Wednesday, July 7
-Rey goes down the hole with a ton of pond water. Beaker thinks it's better than anvils.
-Stark fills her in on stuff and they figure out you can at least chip away at the walls.
-Rey and Silver are reunited and catch up, and at the very least she has ideas for busy work.
-Rey assures Din that Grogu's okay, and also please let her babysit look how cute he is.
-Travis and Dwight do some bowling. Maybe with bumpers.
-Astrid is doing cave painting, and she and Alexis consider cave painting a Twitter.
-Troy has an existential crisis (RELATABLE) so Hannibal offers him his theremin.
-Amaya puts out an offer of tea, which Hannibal takes her up on.

-Dwight starts the day with bad dreams.

In the hole, Tuesday, July 6
-Troy gets holed and Travis assures him he's probably not getting fired even if the whole store went down a hole.
-Amaya's also in the hole, and of course Beaker ends up under an anvil. And reinflated with a bellows. You know what this game was missing? That.
-But at least Travis can assure Amaya there aren't goblins down here yet! Silver lining.
-Alexis kinda likes the campfire, and Travis encourages her in telling an A+ scary story. The bar has been raised for the rest of you.
-Astrid asks Hannibal for paints so she can make some cave paintings.

In the hole, Monday, July 5
-Astrid go down the hoooole. Travis checks on her and she's got some ideas for how to get out that you know what, try it.
-Alexis is happy to have someone who's a) a girl and b) not old.
-Din also go down the hoooole but at least he and Travis come up with a plan to save the ice cream.
-Beaker is a true hero, saving the ice cream.
-Travis makes a campfire and Dwight offers to track down marshmallows.
-Hannibal has marshmallows so there's that.
-Stark and Din talk about how Din came down alone (with ice cream) and Stark catches him up on what's been done. (Not exploding Beaker, that's what.)

ooc: radio broadcast & recap schedule, spring 2016

Hello and welcome to another radio semester! If you had a slot before, I tried to keep your day, and if something doesn't work, let me know. The days are:

MONDAY- Kanan
TUESDAY- Kuzco
WEDNESDAY- Cara
THURSDAY- Nuance's character
FRIDAY- Dante
SATURDAY- Constantine
SUNDAY- Clint

Radio should still be posted by noon EST.

As for recapping, things are going to have to change up some. We have more than just US timezones helping now (THANK YOU), and I'm not able to pick up multiple shifts several times a week to make the old schedule work anymore. So since the game has slowed down, we're going to try everyone taking a day and see how it works. If you signed up to broadcast and linkgrab, I have you down to recap the same day, and otherwise tried to pair people by time zones. I encourage you to talk to whoever you're recapping for, and see what time they want links by, and if something doesn't work out we can tweak it.

That also of course goes for if you're on vacation or sick or can't get it done that day.

ooc: call for broadcasters!

I promised we'd try this again for spring, and here we are!

Beginning Monday, January 2, anyone who's interested gets a chance to ICly read the day's news to the rest of the game. In the off chance that we get more than seven, we'll do an audition week and let the players vote on who stays.

You can also sign up here to be a radio squirrel, which is what killed this last time. We need help in gathering the day's links for the broadcaster to... broadcast, and so if you'd like to be squirrelly, this would be the place. Keep in mind that I do work with people if they can only drop links at certain times or can't do certain days, and some things may have to get restructured some depending on how many people sign up.

We always need participation to keep going. The more people sign up, the less work for everyone there is to do, and right now I'm not in a position where I can pick up the slack as much as I used to. So seriously, if you want radio to continue, helping out is the way to make sure it happens.

These'll be open till about 5 pm CST on Sunday, January 1.

You're also free to sign up if you want to do radio just once. If in the increasingly rare case of more broadcasters than days in the week, we'll put it to a vote and let the players decide. If you're currently a broadcaster or recapper, your shift continues until the new schedule/tryouts start.

You can also sign up here to be a radio squirrel! We need help in gathering the day's links for the broadcaster to... broadcast, and so if you'd like to be squirrelly, this would be the place. So I totally sucked at getting this up before, but! Radio signups are here, and end Saturday! We're good on broadcasters but really low on squirrels, so if anyone wants to give that a try this semester, I'll be forever grateful and wish you all the puppies and kittens and ponies you could ever want.
