Goooooooood evening, Fandom! I've just shimmered in from San Francisco by way of Canada, where I attended Robin and Fraser's wedding. I brought the squirrels all souvenirs -- the cutest little mountie hats and maple syrup, which they're mixing with their rum now. Guys, save some for pancakes!
DORMS
Ender came back to Fandom after making a visit home and got the lowdown from Ben about gossip about Karla and Jaina. The squirrels also tell me there was a huuuuuuuuug. oh, you crazy kids. MiniDrake v1.0 was all sulking in his room until Maladicta dropped by to partake of his mocha ice cream. Effy was in her room minus the sulking, but plus the snarking with Alex Karev.
Out on the deck, Emma was a human disco ball, and now I'm wondering if she hires out for parties. Alex Karev pointed out she could blind people like that. Karla wanted to know if Alex really needed to wear the sling on his arm and tells him he looks like someone's grandmother, which would be a compliment if that grandmother was Betty White. Ino came by with a puppy to find out diamonds are not a girl's best friend when it comes to telepathy. Alex found out the puppy was Zack and wants to put ribbons on him. Karla commiserated with the pet-sitting and told Ino that her boooooooooyfriiiiiiend is a parakeet at the moment. Sookie doubted Emma's ability to tan a diamond, then got an apology from Karla about not being around yesterday to find out how the trip to Dallas went. The wee blonde scourge of the underworld also introduced her parakeet boooooooyfriiiiiend to Emma and explained it was Warren and got all schmoopy. It's a sad thing to see a diamond sigh.
James strapped his emo on in the salle, and Leda tried to cheer him up by playing with his sword. Asuna also dropped by to say hello.
TOWN
Half the adults on the island seem to be at the wedding, so it was a quiet day in Fandom proper today. Robin-the-frog talked to his uncle on the phone at Android's Dungeon and got a yelly visit from Momoko. Jaina had her first day back at work at Caritas, and down by the beach, Dinah and Jaime were apparently having happy fun smutty tiems. Have fun, kids, and don't forget to use protection.
At Camp No Bugs, Dimitri burned marshmallows at the Earwig campfire. Rose wanted a marshmallow but made Dimitri toast it for her, and given his skill at them, she may want to rethink that. Cally came out with baby Nicky to complain about the lack of privacy in the cabins. Rose offered Nicky a marshmallow, but he was too busy nomming on his fingers to enjoy it.
And that's it for tonight. Now it's back to San Francisco for me to do a little wrap up there. But fear not: I'll be back next week for class and my final broadcast.
