WTFH Radio, Saturday, August 7
Good evening, Fandom! I had to shimmer to the radio station to get you tonight's news, and I have to report that my squirrels are very, very drunk. But they are so dedicated to their task that they braved voids and monsters galore to gather me these notes.
SCHOOL
The library was hopping again with people strapping their research on, including Jonas, Karla, Angela, Alexander, and Hoshi. Anakin and Henry were also there comparing notes on past invasions. The Wee Blonde Scourge of the Underworld confessed to Zoe that she'd been one of the people who went under the island last night, but hey, they got some good intel, so it's all good, right? Hoshi figured out the Portal Thruster...not dirty...was missing from the island's controls, Anemone realized the quantum balancer was gone, and Sara figured out the dimensional stablizer was no more as well. Anemone talked to Anakin about what she found out, and Hoshi checked with Scully to see if she agreed about the portal thruster.
DORMS
Dru holed up in the Safe Room, but got checked on by Karla and Scully. Everyone else left on the island was out fighting or researching.
TOWN
In town, well, things still sucked. Little Miss Goth Princess did a fly-over of the town to see what was gone and what was still there. Efferton Manor was still standing, and Kyle made breakfast for the refugees while Kate paced. Karla went looking for abandoned pets around Fandom and ran into Asuna outside MH #1. She then checked out the Starburst cabin while Raven rescued Sookie's kitten from Laffy Taffy. The cabin, not the candy, because that's a bitch to get out of fur. Elsewhere, Rosalind went out hunting, as did Karla and Kennedy, who fought off a pterodactyl.
The Arms Hotel was still standing, and Vimes checked in on Mary after finding the trooper station gone. He and Dani do some patrolling, and Angua reported that those at the school were making progress on finding out what was happening. The not-so-lucky today included Tim Desmond, Irulan and the Imperial Brim, and Vida and the flower shop.
The magic using crew headed under the island to see about sending a message to the people who'd been sucked away. Raven and Tara tried to psyche each other up, and the Mighty Aphrodite offered to help Raven scout ahead. Zoe was there all "Don't mess with my school, bitches," and they were also accompanied by Alexander, Cassidy, and Millie. They all hit the island controls with magic. Raven was all "Your pain, give it to me," while holding hands with Tara. Alexander also jumped on the hand-holding, so someone's going to be getting some Looks from Kennedy in the near future. Dite sent her love, and Cassidy, Alexander, and Millie worked their mojo, too. My squirrelly minions are happy to report that it seems they, Alexander in particular, were successful in getting a message out to our missing friends.
So that's it, and I'm running for cover again. Hop aboard, my squirrelly friends. You can stay with me until this blows over.
