Fandom Radio - Saturday September 25th
Oh my, that's quite a bit of notes, isn't it? Oh! It's Parent's Weekend. That explains it then.
At the school we had our usual classes How To Be A Chocobro set up mysterious challenges for their students in light of the weekend. Superheroing 101 watched a show about a Bitter Woman. Teamwork had a guest help with their class, hosting 'drinking games' without the actual drinking associated with it.
Shunsui held his office hours with Klem stopped in see if his mother had been by. Solana also stopped in to check on how her sister, Alara, was doing. Jon also had his office hours yesterday, as did Ghanima.
In town Amaya worked on silverware at Blackstone Foundry & Forge. Astrid was anxious at Turtle & Canary. Jo stopped in to find modern accoutrements. Nanao--who I assume is a guest--also stopped in. Octavia returned from shopping on the mainland and spoke with Lucifer and Duke about it. Lucifer continued his feud with Eric at the Devil's Nest.
Rey showed off her training warehouse to Poe and BB-8 with Anakin also stopping in to check on things. Hannibal opened up his counselling service for the day with Seivarden stopping in for some tea. Mary made certain that the hotel was ready for all the guests this weekend. Silver brought his guest, Flint, home to talk about what he'd left behind and--oh. Oh, my. Let's just move on, shall we?
But over in the park, there was a big, welcoming picnic for all the guests. At the registration area, we had Doc, Zack, and Aliza discussing the amount of glitter. Noctis and Iris were split on the amount of glitter around them. 'Space Beth' and Jerry had a bit of an awkward moment over both being there for Summer. Jūshirō and Nanao agreed that it was difficult to be serious with the glitter about. Thor met... Thor. And that won't be confusing at all, I'm sure! Maggie, a friend of Annie's, caught of with Danny after some business back home for them. Grace was embarrassed by Steve with the tattoos before being offered a goodie bag by Annie. Edward, Jet, and Spike argued over name tags. Michelle told Clare that she'd be going after the other guests for a good evening and was admonished for it. Jess was there for Nick, promising drinks once they decided to stop being weird.
By the refreshments there was Rafe and a sloth were there to surprise Margo it appears. Diego and Maggie talked about what had been going on with him and how she should get Annie drunk. Faye was greeted by a very flirtatious Greef who was looking for Din and that adorable little green... baby. Thing. He also flirted with Chiana over drinks and being the leader of a planet? Well, that's something. Stark was surprised to find Edward there to see Faye, as was Faye, but then they were all surprised by Chiana showing up for Stark. A lot of surprises all around! Five and Diego bickered over powers and a joint birthday party coming up before Five met Michelle who was thoroughly unimpressed by his knee socks. Which I must concur with, honestly. Michelle also turned her charm onto Ulysses with mixed results. Ulysses spoke with Illyana about having to eventually find a job here if he was to stay.
Over where people were mingling, Goose met up with his cadre of guests to share what he'd been up to in teaching here. Alara was found by her sister Solara. Flint found Silver before there, ah, chat later on, it seems. Rey also met the man, though she was concerned about why he was looking for Silver. Annie was pleased to find that Maggie had arrived to see her, though her joy over BB-8 seemed to be a bit more pronounced. She and Maggie also met up with Wanda and her Thor to make plans to drink and make merry. A very good plan indeed! Poe and BB-8 surprised Rey a bit with their visit. Summer was anxious but pleased to have her mother show up after talking with Seivarden about how she wasn't sure that she would. Doris had a tense conversation with Danny before Steve and Grace arrived to make it even more awkward it seems. Kamilah arrived, much to the annoyance of Tahani, but to the delight of Chiana. Margo and Seivarden agreed over the sub-par nature of the food, though I would have to say they've clearly never had bad food before now. Klem met Iris and told her that he was in her brother's class. Tirswat and Lucille spoke on if they had anyone there to visit them, but it seemed no.
But that... that seems to be all there is. Well! What a busy weekend this'll be. Have a lovely time, everyone!
