Fandom Radio, Friday, February 22nd
Morning, Fandom, if you're up this early, anyway. I think the squirrels are adjusting to Iceland time. I also suspect that the ones back on the island have also taken a short vacation if these notes, all from the trip, are any indication.
Right. So, Iceland. Where in the morning several people enjoyed the breakfast buffet and then it was off to Möðrudalur - honestly, folks, just ask the locals how it's said, it isn't difficult - where Kanan chatted with Sabine about painting and Summer about cute sweaters. From there it was off to Dettifoss Waterfall where some people marvelled in the natural wonder and all that, while others... ah... certain Zora princes might have had minor qualms about certain Muppets throwing themselves over the waterfall in a barrel. He wasn't on my bus at the time, this isn't on me. Besides, looks like he had a decent audience anyway. And finally for the travel, it was off to Námaskarð and Dimmuborgir. Which just gets the metal band stuck in my head, which means I'll be tapping my toes all bloody day while I refrain from... well, I don't suppose you really hum to black metal, do you?
Things were far more low-ley in the evening, with people having the option to soak in the Mývatn Nature Baths, throw themselves or random paraphernalia over the Goðafoss waterfall, do some evening drinking over getting to chaperone Beaker, as Hannibal and I did in our hotel room, the dean did in the restaurant, or -- actually, Brooke opted to hit up the hot tub, which is probably the sounder life choice anyway.
What will today bring? Hell if I know, but I suppose it will involve keeping a more careful eye on any waterfalls.
