Fandom Radio, Thursday, September 13

Good evening students, teachers, and various citizens of Fandom Town. This is Anathema Device, reporting on the days events for WTFH with the help of these adorable squirrels who have rather good penmanship.

So without further ado, the news. Or at least the latest events and gossip.

Classes. Where it's at.
I've noticed that I spend a lot less time in class here, but they're far more interesting than anything I've ever taken. And far more useful too. Ethics learns to lie properly. See? Useful. The students do the two truths and a lie ice breaker. They discuss when lying becomes a crutch. If you need a notebook to keep track, it's too much. The class TA does not get to do anything, though Aravis does speak with Anakin. It's so odd to call a teacher by his first name. Is there anything I can call him? Annie? That does not sound any better.

Pop Culture define culture. Robin does a show and tell about his uncle. I remember my teacher used to make us label everything we brought into show and tell. That would be very odd in this instance. Rose has no student visitors after class. Again with the first name!

In US History we learned some version of history that might be true in a very, very strange alternative world where Leonardo di Caprio sailed with Columbus and started an Italian Bistro. Honestly. For some strange reason, the students are confused and Chuck - Mr. Noblet gets no visitors.

Fandom Invasion discusses portals, squirrels, and gremlins. Are they planning on using them to invade the school? I hope not. Well yes, I'm sure you guys would make a good army, but I don't think an invasion is a good idea during the school year. Students took notes and reacted to Fandom's weirdness. Everything seems odd at first, just imagine what television must look like to those not used to it! There were simulations of Locker 327 and a of a gremlin. And there was a drunken squirrel answering questions. You know, that's just not good for your liver. The ... I'm not reading that out loud, let's just say that there a lot of very negative words here. Anyways, Jack insulted a squirrel. Well, that explains all the unflattering sketches of him in the margins. The class apparently also has a philosophical side, as there may or may not be a TA. Mr. Winchester has a last name and was available after class. The two events are not related, though.

In other education news, Bridge opens the library and no one visits. For shame! The books are lonely. If you believe books have emotions. In the cafeteria, the chef made meatloaf. Karal visits Dean Harriet Jones and is excused from some of his classes. I hope that if it's for a bad reason, everything gets better! Except I have no clue who you even are. Arashi has office hours and gets a visit from Kerrigan. I'm sorry, but no one is ever allowed to complain about my name again. Adah stops by to request independent study. If we can do independent study for more classes then the limit, where can I sign up? Oh, we can't? Drat. Cassandra tests Kerrigan's new security system. I'm sure Kerrigan was very thankful.

And finally, in the office a banana peel claimed Mandy as a victim. Ow.

Dorms. Where it's really at.
The dormitories were as alive as classes today. River took a reluctantly social Berthold to the front lawn. Rose feeds Berthold a hanky so that he won't eat her shirt. I'm going to assume that Berthold is not a student. If he is? My apologies. Anemone traumatizes Berthold, and myself, by mentioning sushi. Honestly, who would want to eat raw fish? What did the fish ever do to you? And if it was improperly prepared, you can come down with some very painful and lethal disease. Robin's singing is not appreciated by Berthold, who tries to eat him. No eating students! Especially adorable ones!

We have a gym? Well, apparently we do, since Annette was a MANIAC - capitals provided by my lovely team of squirrels. She's afraid she's going to be hated. I don't hate you, I don't know you, but I don't hate you. Billy gives Annette a concerned look and makes her run faster. Annette dear? You're on a treadmill, you can't run away from people, you're not actually going anywhere.

Luke and Jo have a baking date and Artoo makes a video. I haven't heard anything about the kitchen needing to be remodeled, so the date was probably a success. Apparently, cooking now involves a food fight. Is the video going to end up on the internet? Ron and Luke bond over cookies and Mike Rowe getting pecked by an ostrich. What did he do to that bird? Ron drools over Jo - that's why you carry tissues Ron - and decide that Umbridge is crazier than Deadpool. I refuse to believe that's possible. Oh, thank you. There's more notes for that common room. Apparently, Sokka wants to know if Luke has ever been in prison. I can't imagine how that would come up in polite conversation. Ron decides that Sokka is from outer space based on his hair. Interesting logic, what kind of hair would come from outer space? Spiked, colored? I think mine is too boring to be considered from anywhere but good old Earth.

Later in the evening, Hoshi was making beef teryaki. And now the squirrels and I all want beef Teriyaki. Jack Burton smells the food over his own stench and - oh that's just rude! - and tries Hoshi's cooking. Adam is very sweet and offers to help clean up. Good to know chivalry isn't dead. AJ is distracted from his painting by the smells. Now I'm very hungry. Nuts? For me? Thank you. I don't see why people complain about the squirrels, they're adorable and sweet.

Andrew tells Neil about the boy-boy sleepovers that he used to have at home. The squirrels seem disappointed that they stopped. Annette asks Meg to kick her. It's ironic that I think that the real crazy people here are the ones who think they're sane. Meg is quick to tell Cassandra about the incident. And this is how gossip travels. Annette tells Dick about how Turtle and Meg kicked her. Er, Annette? You asked Meg to kick you, that doesn't count. And it's nothing to cry about. Johnny and Haku make plans to either make out or hang out, there's an ink blob there. Kou wants to reads Haku's magazines. I'm thinking that was supposed to be make out. And that's all for the students.

Town. No, really, this is where it's at.
The adult population was not as active, sadly. Garbriel's window fell out of the church. No mention of anyone getting hurt. Only a non-punning Gladys at the post office. I'm ... not sure what they meant by that. Lana opens up the bookstore, Mary is working at the hotel, and Isabel opens up Pixie Dust. Meg is looking for a Homecoming dress. We need a dress for Homecoming? Hoshi never shopped before and Isabel helps her out. Don't worry dear, you didn't miss much. George Michael dresses up as a banana when he opens up his banana stand. Now there's marketing! Leo thinks it's a common-on. Er...well, I wasn't there so I wouldn't know. Mary and George Michael get to know each other, possibly like that.

Charlie, who's apparently a girl, plays with her powers and then sketches. Yitzhak is very WTFy at the dinner. How long has he been here? Turtle is at Turtle and Canary and they have a new Squishy flavor. Annette ... oh Annette! She got Turtle to kick her. It doesn't count if you ask the person! Adah is humming and writing in the park and has an encounter with Anakin. The afore mentioned Leo opens up the Photo Hut. And Bridge cooks Xander dinner. So we have a Bridge and a River? Let me guess, every single person before me has already made all the obvious jokes.

In the clinic, Dr. Troy is there in the morning and Doogie is there for the night shift. Over at Caritas, Anders is a little less overwhelmed then he was before. He is able to serve Aiden her Vodka Martini without any loss of life, limb, or olive. And last in the notes, but certainly not least in any regard, is Neil as he opens the Devil's Nest.

Well, that's all for me Fandom. I hope you enjoyed this broadcast. And remember, don't piss off the squirrels or they will make rude suggestions about your mother and your personal life and include stick figure drawings. I'm off to try to find some of that Teriyaki beef...
