Fandom Radio, Tuesday, March 25th

If dinosaurs are extinct, why are they roaming the streets?

That's...not a rhetorical question, listeners. You should probably be careful out there today. I recommend high-powered weaponry.

*chittering*

Well, maybe an escort if you can't find weapons in your size. But not me. I'm just going to stay here for a while. Maybe order in. Too bad Kenzi and I hadn't started that booze-delivery service yet. I can, however, deliver the news.

In classes yesterday, Classic Video Games played Sim City, It's All Fun and Games coped with increasing weirdness by engaging in the time-honored tradition of hitting things that can't hit back, and in Criminal Justice, Batt-Man tried to sell the class insulation.

Self-Expression talked about all the new oddities and got the students to share things that have happened. Jim talked about Denna and her "baton of pain", which the squirrels recommend staying far away from, and The One Who Speaks With the Voice of Many talked about needing to do computations and saving the world from itself.

Meanwhile, Shira set the library up for research, and people researched. Elsa was surprised to see Joker has working legs - oh, that's a change; I hope he likes them - and he was more worried about her nosebleed. She told him she went to the dig site to check out the weather machine, and the voices are stronger there. Voices?

Joker told everyone that Bo and Tamsin broke the weather machine from that time with the obnoxious corporation, and then the machine escaped from the vault. He asked if anyone had a plan, but no news on if they did, so more on that as it arises.

In the dorms, Flick was in his room, covering his ears to block out more voices. Isabelle showed up and boggled at the voices, then tried to get Flick to listen to the radio or something to drown them out. Which, the squirrels say, means he had to explain iPods to her. But radio is always a good choice!

Emma wasn't too sure about the voices either, but said she'd pretend not to hear them, because she's a good friend. Then they they talked a bit, and she told him about hiring a gigolo, and then they flirted over...um. Is this actual poking, or poker, or…?

*chittering*

Ah. Actual poking, apparently. Not a metaphor.

And Joker played video games in his room before running off - literally - for a shower before class, while Will checked his e-mail, then some gray canisters in his closet. No news on what the e-mail or the canisters had to say.

And it was a fairly quiet day in town. The weather machine was at the dig site, which is certainly not where anybody remembers leaving it, although with memories as they are lately, that might not mean much. Elsa went there looking for clues, found the machine, and touched it. She got a maelstrom - oh, good word, squirrels! - of weird sights and sounds from when that awful corporation was here, and it gave her a nosebleed and scared her off.

If the squirrels are to be believed, Mercy was totally at work on time at the Groovy Tunes today! Really! Where she spent all day reading bridal magazines and listening to love songs. That sounds great!

Kenzi showed up at Caritas - oh, good! See, I told you it would work. And her little girl Mia offered Tino a zombie ear. Awwwww. Kitty came in and asked Kenzi who the little girl was, and Kenzi introduced Mia as her coworker, who was currently two, and oh. That probably only works on people who aren't your boss. Sorry, Kenzi. But it worked out okay!

At the Devil's Nest, Jack - the male one - spent his shift sampling different artificial blood flavors. Which should mean good news for any vampires and other blood-inclined folks in future.

And that's all the news for today, listeners. In traffic, there seems to be a lava...river? Stream? Something, over in the warehouse district, and also many dinosaurs, trolls, and vikings making the streets a bit more crowded than usual, so I recommend extreme caution, and maybe give yourself a little extra time to get anywhere today. Personally, I'll be staying here until the streets clear or they kick me out. And I have lots of rum.

*chittering*

Thank you. So everybody stay warm and safe, and until next week, I'll leave you with the weather.
