Fandom Radio, Monday, May 14

Good Evening Fandom, hope you all enjoyed the brief break from classes and invasion of the newbies. You're listening to WTFH Fandom Radio, Seely "One Hundred Percent Unshrunk" Booth broadcasting.

Classes, can we really call them classes when we don't have a school anymore?

Workshops get off to a normal Fandom start with Dean Drax's announcement that he? She? It? Wants to see Sabriel and Rikku.

Also the books are clucky. Well, you know what they say, people who need people are the cluckiest people of all.

Sex Education starts out with foreplay, which is always fun, and why it's...unnecessary. I see the grand Fandom High tradition of hiring insane teachers is still going strong. Zack doesn't seem to agree with that, neither does Inara, those two are smart people, kids, listen to them. Kou could get extra credit for having sex, as you do, Pam thinks she's in the wrong class, which happens more than you think, Donnie Osmond's a furry, that's new, and Isabel glares. They then split into groups to make lists of things to do when you skip foreplay.

"Never have sex again" is at the top of all of them.

Als having their first class is Freelance Treasure Hunting. Evie and Karal suspect something is not right with the class. In other news, the sky is blue and water is wet. Rikku and Evie then talk nwe kids, Isabel and Mel gossip about the new teach looking like Aeryn, so she's hot? Roxas asks for advice on non-spaceship involving treasure hunting, the students introduce themselves, and Karal and Isabel stay after class to talk to Professor Mal Doran.

Stabby class meet up. Kabuto and Haku decide Professor Deadpool is nuts, and in other news, the sun is hot. Deadpool asks the class why they signed up, if they'd kick puppies, and what "mad skills" they have. Constable Fraser stops by to congratulate Deadpool on his wedding, awwww, and Alec asks what a wolverine is.

Dealing With Stupid People deal with stupid people. English graciously volunteers to be dealt with, but Professor Lyman has them reply to deranged people's letters instead. Aly drops in for coffee and Professor Lyman asks about Vegas and blue hair.

Firearms and You are at home on the range. They introduce themselves, and demonstrate their firearm skill.

In other news, Dean Draxative and Constable Fraser have office hours. Sabriel and Rikku duly show up to visit the Dean, and there is talk of death, breaking reality and other fun Fandom stuff.

There is tasty, tasty food being served in the Cafeteria. Buffy and Charlie talk shirtlessness, slaying vampires, and Fandom. Good times. She then talked to Mikey about their unpronouncable cabin while Mikey eats a s’meezeboorger, which according to these notes...sounds kinda tasty in an odd way. Donnie Osmond is sadly not a painter, but he does say dude a lot to Mikey, before talking to Robin who's...really needing to meet Willow. For no particular reason.

Dorms, only not so much, because cabins, yay!

Early one morning in Jackelope Cabin, Cordelia tries to be sneaky, but ws foiled by Jo's already being awake, this leads to talking of bars, hunting, and social lives. Miley meets Dean's cat, then Cordelia for talk of cute, non-losery boys. Dean's looking for his kitty, the non-Alec-y one, and impresses Cordelia with his welcoming committee of one.

Later, Dean and Ronan talk coffee, classes, and stupid people.

Over at the Abominable Snowcabin Adam kicks back and relaxes after a workout. Annette checks in on him, then he and Warren talk about the strange stories they've heard about Fandom. All of them are true, except the one about me and English and snuggling and if Door offers to show you pictures DON'T LET HER! Warren and Annette then bond over hands being bitten off by seals. I'm not even going to ask.

Burning the Chucacabra fires, is Karal, who's also dealing with a clucking textbook. Gavin assures him he's not hallucinating. Isabel explains that things like that are perfectly normal around here and introduces Karal to the concept of schadenfreude, before going ew at huts with Gavin. Aww, cabins are fun guys! Ed flails at his trunk'o'chicken books, Karal wants him to soothe the poor things, and Gavin asks helpful questions.

In other campground news, Ami colour-codes, then asks Henry to swap alcoves. It's the newest craze, collect the whole set! John and Aeryn abandon the cabins in favour of dirty. Henry goes over his notes. Aravis writes a letter, and I come by, and we talked and she's really insightful and *thunk* OW...guys.

Moving on, Johnny picks Savannah up for their date. Cedric and Isabel are mopey together, aww. Willow and Petey have a picnic and are supposedly cute and stuff. Karal works on his notes and talks to someone or the other. Charlie writes a letter. Hermione reads the paper while watching a chicken book. Multitasker, that girl.

Molly enjoys the sunshine outside Curupira. She talks lack of classes, feeding Bertie, hi Bertie, and shopping with Buffy, before wondering about cursed tie-in novels with Tannim, and discussing alternative timelines with Naminé.

Minotaur has snacks and Lana. Cassie shows up to talk workshops. Cassie doesn't exactly like Deadpool's. Aww, man, just because he made you cry...

In Fuzzy Duck Cabin, Annette makes a phone call, before talking to Tori about her date with Luke.

Return of the Chucacabra, where Gavin is ridiculously hot while star-gazing. Don't stand so close to the fire, Gavin. He and Steve debate bagels, and whether the New York bagel is superior to all other forms. Man, now I want a bagel. Sokka talks about being the Pajama Man, then meets Ed. Molly explains some of the things you need to know about Fandom, probably including glitter, then chats with Steve about being wannabe superheroes. Gavin, Ed, and Sokka debate the merits of various forms of flight craft, like planes and bison. Just go with it guys, it hurts less. Alphonse tells Gavin that Fandom weirdness goes back a ways, before talking about the egg-laying chicken books with Ed. Jaina meets Al, then talks with Gavin about surviving workshops. Aww, cute, they think it's the workshops they have to survive.

Over at Phoenix, Gwynn and Liz talk time displacement and the great outdoors, before Liz traumises Robin with tales about alien abductions. Mac teaches Gwynn about vegan chocolate, and introduces herself to Liz. Conner and Gwynn complain about a lack of privacy and make with the kissing, which segues perfectly into Summer and Gwynn talking about Sex Ed. Cally's much more interested in days free of workshops. Summer is befuddled by Robin, as is Gwynn, while Cally would rather talk spaceships with him. Cally and Mac aren't slackers at smooching. Cally and Gwynn boggle at the idea of student turtles.

Town, Fandom Town

Chad opens Empire Records, Warren stops in and there is talking about height and newness. Setsuna opens the post office. Giles opens his shop, where Ami wants to switch shifts and Tannim and Robin are looking for jobs. Lana opens Book Haven. Leo opens Photo Hut, and invites a job-hunting Johnny ghost hunting instead. Town is open, and Robin and Adam hang in the park.

John Connor's at the causeway getting ready to leave Fandom. So long, John. Annette comes to say goodbye, there is teasing and crying. Tori tells him he'd better visit, and there is more crying. Ami tells him that even though he's a troublemaker he'd be welcomed back. Billy says so long, and thanks for the leg, John tells him to look out for Agatha and the thing in the closet. Naomi comes by to say goodbye.

Tori and Luke have their coffee date! Luke brings flowers, then talks about the weather, dead friends, and workshops. By all accounts it's quite adorable.

Luke's not the only Skywalker with the smooth moves. While working on his ship, Professor Luke's Dad talks dirty with Rory, and hugs her over people leaving.

Meanwhile, Stanley reads the paper.

It's Emma's first night at Cairtas. She makes Constable Fraser a really strong drink, before talking trash about Deadpool's marriage. Robin drinks cherry soda and considers karaoke. Annette drowns her sorrows and is asked to sing by Robin. Johnny brings Savannah in on their date and they are surprised by the zombies. What, where they playing in tune tonight, or something?

Lucy reluctantly opens Devil's Nest and looks for help. Squall drinks a macho drink and fruity umbrella drinks, and pays in gold, while Millie gets an ale and talks chicken books and internet trauma with Lucy.

While at the Clinic, Doc Wilson naps and talks about Billy's ribs.

And that's all the news that's unfit to print, this is Se-...

*THUNK*

OW! Stop throwing things at me. Geez.

News Just In

Bit of grab bag this.

Over in Pixie cup, Parker talks with Conner about how it feels to be graduated, before she and Jaye cluck.

Dirty.

After they're done, Parker and Zero talk about breaking in the newbies, while Conner and Jaye talk back to books.

Ami tiptoes through the tulips. Kabuto pesters a Lucy in his nest. While Doc Wilson shows up to talk about something or the other with him. Deadpool plays with Yondaime's syllabus. Demyx emos with un-emo music.

Mel and Setsuna talk about last semester's Hunting class, while Valentine juggles and doess tricks with his balls.

And that's all the news...

*pause*

...all the news that's unfit to print. You've been listening to Fandom Radio, this is Seely "Drinks With Squirrels" Booth, signing off.

Savannah sighed when she listened to the radio and wondered which of her friends or her mother cousin were going to start with the grilling.

Why yes, that would be Tori blushing at Seely saying that her date with Luke was adorable.

... and she sighed, sad that John had left. But she had a feeling she'd be seeing him again. Tori also laughed at the image of Conner talking to books. It was pretty funny.

[You rule at radio! You know that, right?]
solo_sword: (this is me astounded)

...Okay, the part about her date for tonight having a date with someone else at the same place they were going, Jaina wasn't surprised at that, really.

Especially in light of wondering whether to be more disturbed about her grandfather talking dirty with anyone, and her uncle having a date. That would have to be one of the things she could never tell her aunt.

Aravis was sitting in her alcove, smiling at her radio.

She kind of got the feeling that this might be something that made her look silly, so it was a good thing that she had her curtain drawn.

And she made a note to find out who Door was and admire her apparent artistic abilities.

Luke was blushing like a thing that blushed a lot at the radio's recap of his date.

And then looking for something to whack his head against when they got to the part about his father.

"Make. Up. Your. Mind. Dammit," he said between smacks.
