Fandom Radio, Tuesday, January 15th
Good morning, Fandom. Have you ever had one of those mornings where you get so far as the front door and you decide, no, you're just not leaving for the cold out there unless you've got, say, a warm cat with you? I nearly did this morning, what with the rain. You're all terribly lucky that I didn't show up here today with Joni tucked into my jacke-

... Usually she's quieter. I suppose it's all the squirrels being in one place that are throwing her off. In any case, the faster I read the notes, the sooner I can get back to my living room, sit down in front of the telly, and watch ridiculous morning television with a sleeping cat on my lap. That's today's only priority after leaving here. As it should be.
So, at the School yesterday, Jaye had her Philosophy class watch a romantic comedy with Kate Hudson in it before making her students write about their personal philosophy on love. American Feminism covered the women who were involved in the Revolutionary War and whether they were feminists or patriots, and I'm admittedly not well-enough versed in American history to be able to say just why they couldn't have been both. Flight class got to fly X-wings through... the Death Star? It's probably safe to assume that X-wings are a sort of spacecraft, but my best attempt at picturing a Death Star leaves me mostly with a celestial body that might actually give Galactus heartburn. And William's shift at the library saw him walking in to find the place full of cough syrup. Considering the time of year, I have a feeling that this might become a theme for today. I think I like my personal theme better.

In the Dorms, Karolina and Liara discussed the decorating of Karolina's side of the room, and the people they have on the island from their respective homes. Jim teased Karolina about how the posters made her room look like a girl's room, which makes sense considering that it is, and then they talked about classes and new students, including Gert and Old Lace, who Karolina knows from home.
And, finally, what happened yesterday in Town, where Cade was in a good mood at Stark Industries after Jaina's Flight class. A gremlin was playing the role of DJ at the Devil's Nest, playing opera while Jack Priest tried to do some work. Karla was dealing with yet another cough syrup mess yesterday, thus proving that I was correct about there being a theme, this time at Dite's. At Wellspring Arms, Alice was 'doing inventory,' which the squirrels assure me is code for checking out the guns. Surreal was brewing poisons at the Magic Box, which Kenzi decided looked neat after wandering in to get out of the cold. Also good for warming up after coming in from the cold? A warm cat in your lap. Yes, I'm stuck on this topic today. Yes, that's because sleeping cats should get priority over dragging my arse through the rainy streets of Fandom on a Tuesday morning without even any coffee to get me started on my morning broadcast on the right foot.
Ahem.
At Cafe Luke's, Priestly was sitting around, still drunk after his visit to Japan. Karla asked him what in the world he got up to out there, which led to a discussion about whether he was allowed to flirt. My understanding is, Karla, that so long as the man's single, he really rather is allowed. And, wrapping up my notes for the day, Hanna was looking at Golden Globe fashions at Demon Marcus. I missed those. Playing guitar. It was very important.
And now, with that over with, I'm going home, and I'm taking my kitten with me. Being a cat and all, it's past her bedtime already.
