Right, of course. If I see squirrels trying to lead me somewhere at this time of the morning I should automatically assume you want me to read gossip on the air for everyone to hear. ...This place still smells like rum and I don't know whether to attribute it to the rodents or the boys.
*chittering*
I have absolutely no idea what that was supposed to mean but I take that clear indignation to mean that it wasn't the squirrels. Since I'm already here, this is Marasiah, and speaking of which, Olive, you and I need to talk.
SCHOOL
Classes began with Ethics, where Professor Skywalker kept us waiting for a while. Sparkle and Atton took the time to talk about the latter's plans to drink with Cade. Apparently I have those notes to look forward to today. When the teacher arrived, we had an experiment in privilege, taking a step back or forward from a line based on questions about our backgrounds. Afterwards there was a discussion, where Alec and Miriam tried to talk to an upset Sparkle with varying results, and Korra told Professor Skywalker that differences in her world might have affected her understanding of the exercise.
Combat met, with... Professor Solo explaining the class and then having the students introduce themselves with their experience level. Cade apparently did a bit of staring at Anakin. After class, Anakin stayed behind to catch up with... the teacher. In Mad Science, a class in which I'm sure nothing could go wrong, the students received lab coats and introduced themselves.
Our new guidance counselor... Ms.? Electroclash- I apologize, I'm not sure of your preferred title- got a visit from Guy discussing the possible redecoration of her office including motivational posters and a minibar. I would call that conflicting decor but that's just my opinion.
DORMS
In the stables, Luke was trying to make friends with a poodle, and Chuck returned from a trip home and was visited by Daenerys, who told him about her summer.
In the second floor common room, Jim was watching movies wherein things explode, and Topher wanted to know if the movie was any good and about where Jim is from. Ulrik brought Oreos and opinions to share on television, and Stiles and Jim joked over Stiles' size and... things I won't read on radio. Topher and Stiles shared tips on not being beaten up, which should not be something people have to share tips on because no one should be beating on anyone in the first place. Ulrik shared his Oreos with Stiles, talking about how the Halloween flavors are better. I don't understand all of that sentence. Ryan found out the movie was terrible, and they talked about things to do in town. Arietty was the first to ask why the movie was bad, and didn't seem to think it was as obvious as Jim did. Juliet checked in on her little brother Jim, who apparently scheduled all of his classes on one day. I find I wish I did that.
TOWN
Victor was at Stark Industries fixing whatever an Atari is, and Olive brought her laptop in for service and talk of social networking. Hanna began a new shift at Demon Marcus, and Yeul sat on the beach in the afternoon while Ronan and Kaidan went or a spat there in the evening.
At Caritas, Kitty walked in on Tino... in her office, and Cade asked to be just attached to the tap. You spent your morning drinking in here, you do not need to drink from the tap no matter how hard your day was. Cade and Atton met for drinks, and here I thought I was special. They were reportedly snarky at each other, which comes as a complete surprise to me. Atton gave Kitty advice on dealing with seeing too much of her fellow bartender, and Luke told Kitty of his problems in dealing with Percy's poodle.
That seems to be everything, which means I'm done, and hopefully everyone will spend at least part of their day sober.
