Fandom Radio, Wednesday, June 13th
Fandom. Morning. I... actually have no idea what day this is. Have you ever had one of those... No, never mind. Whatever day it is, I'm going to just tell myself that it's Tuesday, and then I'm going to sit down right where I am, reach for the rum- it isn't too early for rum if you're drinking socially, and I'm surrounded by squirrels- and read notes. Does that suit you?
Good. Happy Tuesday, Fandom. This is Jonothon Starsmore with all of the gossip from yesterday that you never needed to know, but are going to hear nevertheless.
Starting with, of course, what went on in the School yesterday. Such as that one class about the 21st Century... Which seems like an odd class choice for a Tuesday, come to think of it. In any case, Tony Stark taught them how to use the internet. And Google. With safesearch on, because good lord just use it. Trust me. Is Love A Tender Thing was also temporarily relocated to Tuesday this week, apparently, and this week it was about the wonders of clubbing. I... don't do much of that, these days. Most of my experiences with clubs over the past decade involve either being attacked or exploding. The students presumably had a better time, getting dressed up and meeting people and the like.
The game was parkour in Survival Skills: The Tuesday Edition Dammit, with students watching an educational video before trying out the same moves for themselves. No reports on whether anybody took a tumble. Alas. And in Photography, Jaye told her students to take pictures of summery things, before getting them to show off their homework from last week. Pictures of things belonging to their roommates. Hopefully nothing too personal showed up in those photos, students.
Holding office hours yesterday were Kennedy, who was in a good mood when Raven came in to visit and to wheedle for details, and Electroclash, who was listening to voicemails from home. I'm jealous. The only voicemails I get from home are generally bad news.
You all must be avoiding the Dorms these days, unless I've missed something vital and you're all doing something ridiculous like living in tents out in the woods, because nothing really went on in the dorms yesterday at all. And so I suppose I'll just move along to the Town notes. Suits me fine. Means I can go back to bed, get on with enjoying my Tuesday sooner.
Karolina Dean was enjoying cupcakes at J,GoB, which... you know, I've never done? I mean, that isn't too surprising, all things considered, but I really ought to change that one of these days. That is a far too many years to go without a cupcake. Bruce was working at the Wellspring Arms, Boom-De-Yada. Mary was, perhaps unsurprisingly, not quite certain what day yesterday was. It's Tuesday, Mary. Tuesday. Until I change my mind at the end of the broadcast, because I have auditions tonight that I'd like people to actually arrive for. Victor was poking at a 'mystery THING,' with thing in all-caps, at Stark's, which actually doesn't make me raise an eyebrow, knowing both this island and Stark's. Frank was giving away free ice cream at Turtle & Canary, presumably because they were ridiculously overstocked. Valentine came in to point out that this was probably something that should have a 'while supplies last' sign tacked on, since free ice cream tends to go quickly on a... you know... Monday.
Yesterday was Monday. Or Wednesday. Just go with it.
Emma was having a special on vintage Japanese porn at Dite's yesterday, when Jack came in to-- If I say 'sample the wares' I'll get shot, no matter how great the temptation, so I'll just read the notes and say they were playing cards. And that he accused Emma of always cheating. Really, now, Jack. In a friendly card game, peeking takes all the fun out of it.
At Caritas, Kitty was having a few problems with deliveries, so customers could expect to be served by Tino. And at the Clinic, Millie had staked a claim for the comfortable chair.
And that's the last of your Tuesday notes. Now it's allowed to resume being Wednesday. And if any of you are interested in the performing arts, or just in helping prepare newcomers to the island for what exactly they're in for, stop by the Boards tonight for an audition. We've got a place for everyone.
Except maybe Hank.
