WTFH, Tuesday, February 14th

Good morning, Fandom Island! I hope you all had as... fulfilling an evening as I did last night. Which I suppose I'm about to find out!

School!

In a continuation of last week's running theme, Basic Strategy had a movie day today, with the students watching the terribly educational BattleSports. And speaking of battle, in Defending Yourself students listened to a lecture on knocking each other down. And then knocked each other down. Learning how to fall is an important skill! Trust me. Just thinking about some of my own spills makes my ass hurt. Food Tour of Fandom was all about chocolate yesterday -- which reminds me, happy half-price chocolate eve, everyone! -- and Philosophy 101's movie of the week was meta for Psycho.

Sneaking into the back of the theatre was completely forbidden. I... don't entirely blame Jaye for saying that, this week, as much as sneaking into the back sounds like a lot of fun!

In clubs news, the fraternity had chicken and a movie. Ooh, maybe I'll cook a chicken tonight. That could be good. At any rate, the boys of the frat mingled and ate chicken before watching the... apparently somewhat pornographic Y Tu Mama Tambien. Bobby complained and demanded The Rock. And guns. Which does seem to fit more with my sense of fraternity movie days, really. And the doorway had a Karla, looking for Warren. For reasons!

No, sorry, the notes don't actually say what those reasons are. Given the week so far, though, shall we assume they were... along the same vein?

No paper this week, but the staff did have a meeting! With no coffee and a lack of focus, although they did try to get something planned for next week. The library insisted on subjecting Casual Dress William (new from Mattel!) to porn, as well, and the office finished up the installation of cold water showers.

Oh, c'mon, what's the fun in that?

Dorms!

Ben and Ender slept in yesterday, although when they woke up there was noise and massage oil, and that's all the notes are telling me. I'm sure you can fill in the blanks. The squirrel probably could if she wasn't too busy with her Bender flags. Tara, meanwhile, had a morning after of her own with Rebecca; Tara tried to explain that she wasn't looking for a relationship, but Rebecca was all, "Oh, pfft, whatever, yay sex!" Topher, Tony, and Billy went running -- or, more accurately, blushing, flailing, and tripping. Tony was oblivious. In other news, water is wet, the sky is blue, and Matt Bomer is gay.

Butters was in the hallway with a storage closet -- you know the one, I'm sure -- when Rebecca came by to admire the view. Of his singing and dancing, I'm sure! ... And then made use of the storage closet. Go, Butters! Nathan, meanwhile, was dealing with pent up frustration by pacing and smoking, while Rebecca came back to her room after. Ahem. Working out. At which point she and Bruce... worked out some more. Petra made a call to her doctor to see if her meds could cause a libido increase -- trust me, Petra, it's not the meds and it's not just you -- while Butters was trimming a bush in his room.

... ... ... No word on whether or not that's dirty, but this is Fandom.

Over in the Salle, Kate was working out her own energy. A few others seem to have had the same idea, including Cara, who showed off her weapons and explained how they worked, Wesley, who discussed his training with Kate and also trolls, and Surreal, who took out her boredom on a punching bag. And in the third floor common room, a sexiled Matt was watching TV. Dany came by and let him hold one of her dragons after finding out that he's blind, while Kenzi was impressed that he'd saved someone from getting hit by a truck, which is how he was blinded. Dany wouldn't let Kenzi feed the dragons ice cream, unfortunately, and Anna startled Matt before talking about catfish.

... As one does.

Stacey managed to get Matt to ask her to prom -- I feel like that's really early somehow -- and, finally, Britta showed up... just until she and Matt went back to her room. For 'humanitarian efforts'. I have to admit, that's a new euphemism for me.

Town!

Guy and Electroclash woke up with no power, which upon finding out Electroclash left really quickly to work on lesson plans. Samus, meanwhile, was upset that her suit was fried, too, and wandered out to the kitchen where Guy, ahem, appreciated the view.

I had an unexpected, but most certainly not unwelcome, guest, when Hercules' grocery bags broke in front of my house. What was I to do but invite him in for replacement bags? And then of course I had to offer hospitality, as any good host would.

You should all totally be envious.

In the afternoon, Joan was at the Devil's Nest when Howard came by for a drink -- and got a whole lot more, though I doubt he's complaining. Vincent was in a bad mood at Cafe Luke's, and Surreal was burning a box of dolls at the Magic Box. Elphaba came by and agreed that burning the dolls was a very good idea.

Ugh. Dolls. Powers, never again.

Karla left free safe-sex products available at Dite's before running out with a few samples and leaving Mini-Morton in charge; Rebecca grabbed a bunch of stuff and left some money for it. Hopefully condoms, because it sounds like she needs them. And Annie was at Goodvalor's Little Bivoli, not knowing about the specials board.

At Caritas, Jake had vodka. Jaye thought that the maple vodka tasted Canadian, and then to compare tasted the Canadian behind the bar, while Chloe agreed that the aforementioned maple vodka was magical! Over at the clinic, I set up a big basket of condoms -- they're free, so please come in and take as many as you need -- and Toby was trying to relax on the beach before Raven suggested he try the safe room instead, then teleporting him there.

And that's the news of yesterday, today! Remember, everyone, you can get free condoms at the clinic!

[I am so sorry this is late, LJ hasn't been letting me post or comment all day, arrrgh. Assuming this works now.]
