Fandom Radio, Thursday August 10, 2006

Bridge: Hello Fandom, and welcome to Thursday night's radio broadcast. Tonight I've got a special guest star- the cuter Xander. Say hello!

Xander: I've got the nametag and everything! Hi, Fandom.

Bridge: A nametag that was made for you by your BFF's boyfriend. For which I thank him, 'cause it's true! Anyway, I suppose we should get on to the actual news and stuff, starting with workshops.

Workshops, Where People Learn Stuff

Xander: In Wilderness Survival, you guys turned in your clothes and shoes, then went fishing with spears, nets, and your bare hands. And I'd like to take a moment here to thank Callisto personally for forgetting to give the clothes back her...dedication to teaching. Yes.

Bridge: Right. Um. Moving along, in Monologuing they roused the troops not dirty. And Pip, River and Blair all stopped by to talk to Ivanova. Then in Sex Ed this afternoon, we got a lecture on, um, erogenous zones. And then went to find them. Also, Blair asked Becky if she's part of a network of hooker nuns.

Xander: ...as you do. Also, I wasn't aware you were having any trou-- yeah, yeah, moving on. Sheesh. In Screen Acting, they watched each other's scenes and critiqued them.

Bridge: And sadly, the eternal "cookies versus muffins" question may never be answered, as the fight in the cafeteria meant that we had the food replicator making us lunch again today.

Xander: Can't we all just get along? I for one would totally be willing to eat cookies and muffins for the sake of peace in the cafeteria. Wouldn't you?

Bridge: It'd be difficult, but I think I could make the sacrifice. And in news that has nothing to do with the cafeteria, Angela opened the Library today, which was quiet. Huh. Libraries and quiet. Who'd've thought?

Xander: See, you say that with sarcasm in your voice, but that's only because you never met the thing that lives under the library in my old school. Willow and Cordy can back me up on that one.

Dorms, Where People Live

Xander: Meanwhile, in news of rooms that don't have portals to hell under them that we know of so far, this morning in the gym, Parker and Aeryn talked about invading hordes of newbies, Aeryn trained Molly in how to block, and.... this says something about Jamie being sore from doing something with Peter Parker. Only I have no idea what that word is supposed to be.

Bridge: Roof-hopping. Which is a superhero thing and totally not dirty.

Xander: Good to know. Also, Jack and Blair sent e-mail, which is a computer thing and also totally not dirty. It's just printed more neatly on these notes so I can tell that right away.

Bridge: And I'll just bet there was no dirty going on in Phoebe and Bel's room this morning. Right, guys? Anyway, after that completely innocent cuddling that was reported in these notes, Bel went to go shimmer Isabel to LA so she could hang out with Angel.

Xander: ...And you know? I had such a very good day today that I'm not even gonna ask why anybody would want to do that. Marvel, world. Marvel. Not-a-girl Sam didn't have such a great day, though. He had nightmares, apparently, poor dude.

Bridge: I hate nightmares. Especially the kind where- Okay. Anyway, Nadia stopped by Cally's room, and they talked about military boot camp. You know what I also hate? Mud runs. Hope you never have to go to Mirinoi for training. As for me? I stopped by Xander's room, and he helped me study for workshops. Right?

Xander: ...yes. Did I mention wanting to thank Cal?

Bridge: You did, yes. Hi, Cal! In other dorm-related news, after getting a phone call, Sakurazaki was using the punching bag this afternoon, which apparently upset John Connor. Walter and Pippi played Frisbee with Pup, and talked about Pippi's upcoming date with Pip. Tim also stopped by to play Frisbee with Walter and Pup.

Xander: There's something here about Jack being cute with his thingie? I swear I am not making this up. *pause* Ohhhh, it's girl-Sam. That makes so much more sense. Also Walter stopped by to visit Seras, then he and Pup hit the 5th Floor Common Room to snuggle with Nadia. Possibly it was just Walter and Nadia with the snuggling; who knows. I'm not judging.

Bridge: Yay, snuggling! What can I say? I'm a fan... So. Hermione got a letter from home. And Tim and Gwynn practiced with swords in the Salle.

Xander: Nifty - Willow's learning swordfighting too; she taught me how to parry with cookies. In non-pointy-sticks news, Peter Parker left some voicemails, then he and Greg got visited by Zero.

Bridge: Cally got a package from Caprica with a lemming. I didn't even know one could ship live animals that far. So, yeah, Cally was talking to a lemming. Callisto, on the other hand, was talking to... her belly? Sometimes I worry about whoever writes these notes.

Xander: Well, sometimes mine talks to me? Like if there was chili or something. Maybe Cal was just telling hers to shut up. Hi Cal! Also hi Parker, who was talking on the phone while re-arranging her shoes today. Whoa, seriously? Must've been a mighty important phone call.

Town, Where People Buy Stuff

Bridge: And that's all for the dorms. Moving in to town, Peter Pevensie and Willow woke up on the beach and were cute and discussed among other things, tea and potatoes.

Xander: For breakfast? Will, if he managed to make you latkes on the beach, this one's a keeper. Just sayin'. Peter also stopped Blood Gulch Arms later on, and so did Marty.

Bridge: All and Sundries had a couple of visitors today: The Doctor stopped by to see Jane, and River stopped by to buy some more brushes. And Sister Rosette apparently turned the church into... a catwalk? Right...

Xander: Maybe she's part of the network?

Bridge: Blair should go talk to her and ask.

Xander: Totally. Let us know what you find out, Blair. ...Possibly after you get out of the clinic.

Bridge: Oh, hey, speaking of the clinic! Both Dr. Troy and Dr. Goodchild had quiet shifts. Hey, maybe we should get one of those signs? Like, "It has been however many number of days since there has been an accident in Fandom". Or would that just be jinxing it, do you think?

Xander: Either that, or it would just encourage people to beat each other up on purpose more. Not in Caritas, though, 'cause spell-thingie. Archie was there tonight, visiting Veronica and taking pictures. There may've been canoodling, but only the camera knows for sure. Clark was there too. Probably not canoodling with Archie and Veronica, though hey, I mentioned about not judging, right?

Bridge: There was definitely no canoodling at Cafe Fina today, which was open but quiet. And I think that's everything. Is that everything?

Xander: That's everything! *sound of paper crumpling* Oh, wait. *sound of paper uncrumpling* There's a duck in the park.

Bridge: ...Yeah, when the squirrels said they were gonna try to give us more extensive notes, they really weren't kidding.

Xander: You know what's really scary?

Bridge: Accidentally getting baked into a giant pizza?

Xander: ...Exactly what I was thinking, yes. And he doesn't even have the gloves off, folks! But also the fact that I started to say 'this place worries me' then realized it actually doesn't anymore. Which is traumatizing. I may need treatment.

Bridge: Yeah? I think I could help you out, there.

Xander: Did I mention I'm having a really good day?

Bridge: You did... and now, you can say "Good night, Fandom".

Xander: Good night, Gracie Fandom!

Bridge: G'night everyone! *Click*
