Fandom Radio, Tuesday, September 20th
Hey, y'all! It's Miley Ray again, coming at you from WTFH Fandom Radio, here to bring you the daily news so you won't get the blues, and…
I like kangaroos.
*irritated chittering*
Come on, you guys! I'm really trying here!
…
So we're gonna start with the school.
In Basic Strategy, they heard all about clothes. Clothes! My favorite! That makes me wonder if you guys talked about leggings at all, because I haven't heard anything authoritative on the subject of whether leggings count as pants or not. Like, how short is too short for the shirt you're wearing to be worn with leggings, you know? And does it make a difference depending on how tall you are? Like, I'm 5'5", but my best friend Lilly is 5'2" and a half, and if I wore leggings with a shirt that was the same length as a shirt she was wearing, and let's say it was dark green and the leggings were –
*about a minute of static, followed by some angry squirrel noises*
YOU GIVE ME MY MICROPHONE BACK RIGHT NOW.
THANK you.
So they talked about clothes and listened to the lecture, and BTW I am way going to have to find out if they did talk about leggings because I HAVE TO KNOW, and then Kenzi who is SUPER GENEROUS AND COMPASSIONATE AND KIND talked to Toby about possible people to impress around the school. Ooooh! Kenzi has a cruuuuu—
I mean, she has very pretty hair.
The girls got dressed in fancy clothes, and the aforementioned super generous Kenzi asked Stephanie what she was dressing for, which apparently is a data-entry job. I'm not sure what that means, but okay! Then the guys got all dressed too and showed off their clothes. Yum. And the TA, Kate Daniels from Atlanta just like my BFF Lilly was also there, and so was the teacher, which makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?
In the awesome class Creative Arts, we learned about watercolors! We listened, and then painted – and BTW mine was of this totally awesome crick in Tennessee – and then Scully and Rapunzel talked about Rapunzel's painting and where she's from. Also, Cute Tony the TA was around and apparently isn't great at painting, oops, and the teacher was around, and apparently he's a lot better! So, yay!
So then in Cultural Understanding – wait, did all the classes today have topics I like? That's SO COOL. So in Cultural Understanding today, they talked about music!!! OMG, that brings up a totally important point that I have to discuss with you guys. We all need to be nicer about Justin Bieber. Okay? He's under a lot of stress, and he's awesome. So quit being mean about him.
Also, he throws great parties.
So, yeah, Cultural Understanding! They had show-and-tell – wait, for music? Oh, did they have to bring in cymbals and one of those little triangles? Those are SO CUTE – and then they talked about the significance of music in their cultures back home! Aww, yay! Back home for me, music is, like, totally important, because my dad and I –
I mean, my dad –
So my dad's a country rock star, you guys. Yep. Robby Ray.
So. That is why music is important. Not any other reason.
And the teachers were around too! Yay!
Then, in Aesthetics of Word I Still Can't Say, they were mixing drinks. Like, Sprite and Fanta? I've tried that. It just makes it taste less like Fanta. Bleh. They listened to a lecture, then did that whole mixing thing, and then my big brother's little brother Bobby came over to my friend Caroline to ask why she was looking at him all weird.
Hi, Bobby! Hi, Caroline! 'Sup?
*silence*
…Right.
Oh, and in the library, William found some peanut butter in the stacks. Oh, ick.
Also, there was an announcement today about the Student Council people! Wasn't there, like, not enough people running for an election? Oh, well. I still voted for Quinn.
In the office, Ida complained about a stomachache and the staff was pretty much just like, "Don't eat snack food out of a volcano." Which is, yeah. Don't do that, boys and girls.
BTW what's up with the volcano?
Then in clubs, there was a meeting of the Kappa Kappa Gremlin fraternity! You guys, I'm not sure, but I don' t think Gremlin's a greek letter. Anyway, the guys arrived and mingled, and – should we be talking about this if it's a super secret boys' club? Because I don't wanna get in trouble with Cute Tony or the other guy, the one with the Rock Band game.
…Okay, well, let's keep going.
This guy Topher told someone named Ben that he convinced Cute Tony that he isn't a girl, and I reeeeally hope he used his words there. And Ben asked about those dates that happened the other night, and Topher was like "OMG DIDN'T GO." And then Ben brought up girls and Topher –
Wait, is Topher that blond guy in the sweater vest?
*chittering*
Yeaaaaah, he's running around outside making a weird noise. Can someone call security?
…No, not you.
Sam Who Runs iCarly was there – wait, Sam's a guy? – and sat outside with a No Girls Allowed sign and pizza and filmed the whole thing. But, oh, Rock Band Warren came over and frowned at her a lot, I guess to make her go away. Aww. And Freddie saw Sam and was, like, "oh, that makes sense."
The guys all introduced themselves, and hung out, and talked to the leaders, including Rock Band Warren and Cute Tony! Jack asked Rock Band Warren if he's cool with clones wearing tights – wait, what? – and Warren explained that he was just talking about that as a preemptive measure. Oookay, then. And Ender, who I just met the other day on the beach and who has a dead raft and who's super nice, talked to Warren about his car. Fun! Guys with cars, mmm.
Also, the teacher was there too, and he liked the pizza. Cool.
Then in the dorms, stuff happened!
Ramona was lying on her bed reading and – oh. Why is it every time I do the news, people do Bad Things? You GUYS!
And then Cute Luke was in his room too and drank a milkshake – ooh, what flavor? I really like chocolate and banana, but not all places have that, so sometimse you have to just pick vanilla or chocolate, which is really hard, so I usually get a swirl.
…What?
And then Cute (But Grumpy!) Percy came in and made sure Kansas wasn't horrible, and told Cute Luke he signed him up for cheerleading! Oooh, I'm gonna be a cheerleader too! I wonder if Cute Luke knows how to do a hurky…
Finally, in town, other things happened! Things not the same as the things I already said! New things!
At Stark Industries, Ender I Just Met was there! Guys, can we all just take a moment and give Ender a round of applause? He told me his sister's an achiever and I want him to know that he has just as much potential!
*human clapping and tiny squirrel claps*
Okay, cool. So then Ben came by with food, and they ate and talked about slang and music and – Did you guys mean to write "jazz?"
Sloppy, sloppy penmanship.
At the Devil's Nest, they were serving grog, and no I don't know what that is. You could probably ask Jack the bartender or Eric.
And finally, at Café Luke's, they had all these different kinds of birthday cake! Safe birthday cake! Jack Carter came by and asked what kind he should get. I'd go with the apple spice, Jack.
So that's all for today, guys! Now, if we could just get back to the discussion of leg--
