Fandom Radio, Saturday, August 20th

Good morning, Fandom. This is Dave Nelson for WTFH, Fandom's Pirate Radio. We're coming to you from a very nice - if strangely monochromatic - place that I wouldn't mind staying in for a while. I don't know if whatever magical force that controls where we end up listens to radio editorials, but please, magical force, help a guy out here.

In school news....

Defying Death celebrated the end of the summer session they only way they knew how: by talking about going over a waterfall in a barrel, and then doing it.

True Heroism set students against the Labyrinth. But when they had some time to chat before taking on the challenge, Raven laughed at Warren's brightly colored wings and checked in with Bobby D. But then they went into the maze with random encounters which included Warren fighting a jokester minotaur. At the center, Mr Hercules had pie and punch for anyone who made it. Speaking of punch, Warren apparently wanted to punch Hercules for teasing him a lot about his feathers, which led to Hercules offering a listening ear about Warren's wanting to punch people. Hercules also congratulated Raven on teleporting to the center. Faramir got praise and punch after he fought a troll to get to the end of the maze. And Bobby got taunted about not being able to hold his liquor when he got to the middle.

In Computers, Mr Winchester had the students show him something they'd learned during the session.

Mr Gardner had his PE students running laps. Jim and Jake were having a little bit of a running competition that naturally led to talking about girls.

In the offices, Principal Winchester yelled at a phone while Misters Anders and Stark packed up their offices.

And in the Dorms....

Caroline had a surprise present in a box, but Jake ruined the surprise by showing up early.

Mercy watched a show about alien visitations to Earth in the fifth floor common room.

And there was an iCarly broadcast in the first floor rec room, featuring guest host Miley. They did the introduction, a bit with something referred to as "a Gibby," and an interview with Miley. And then Jack C came by and showed footage of a badger attacking his shirts.

Over in Town....

Bod was at Cafe Luke's planning some extracurriculars. Vida... questioned a "decapitated bunny bouquet" at Covent Garden and there has to be an explanation for that. *chitters* Oh, I see. There's a note that says there was a good reason for it. Well, that's good enough for me.

Toby had his first shift at Goodvalor's Little Bivoli and he wasn't that thrilled by the specials. Sam L came in and Toby explained how he got the job. Then Kenzi came in for a... work date, I suppose.

Harper had umbrellas and ponchos on sale at Things Reborn to counter the rain of pickles and ice cream. Seifer played punk music at Groovy Tunes. And Jessica spent her time at Caritas working on her blog.

And that's all for today from WTFH, except for a reminder that there's a sock hop tonight. This has been Dave Nelson. Have a great week in a great place. Hopefully.
