Fandom Radio, Saturday, June 4th

Good morning, Fandom. This is Dave Nelson for WTFH, Fandom's Pirate Radio and i have no idea where the hell I am, why there was an older woman in bed with me when I woke up, or where she went while yelling, 'This is just like that Tom Hanks movie.' If anyone out there knows what happened to me, please call the radio station because apparently the squirrels still know how to get ahold of me.

Since this is such a learning experience, let's start with SCHOOL news.

Like's a Circus was all about fecal matter and elephants today, which I guess was bound to happen eventually in that class. Better new than for the finals. Mr Grayson used the elephants to lecture about animal care, and then the students had a choice: wash the elephants, clean up their... dung, or stay away from them completely. And anyone who did the hard work got to ride one of the elephants.

Mr Winchester showed his Computers class what Hollywood thinks hacking is, which is another way of saying that it was a movie day.

It was also a movie day in Advanced Astrophysics and Arts & Crafts. In this case, the class made pinatas while they watched a movie about supernovas. I'm assured it was highly educational.

Over in the library, Wesley waited for the books to shelve themselves, which didn't happen. But he did get Professor Skywalker stopping in to see how he's doing.

And in the office section of the school, Mr Stark had strawberry cupcakes for visitors while Principal Winchester was in a bad mood as she read some e-mail.

Over to the DORMS, where I wish I was right now....

Seifer had a headache, so he took a nap. When he woke up, he was a puppy. Which has to be a little distressing.

Kate Gregson stayed in her room instead of heading out, so Bod stopped by to hang out and shower.

Luke played video games in his room. Percy came in to defend his lack of attendance at the Strawberry Social that we'll get to in a moment before Luke teased him about his poor video game skills and his flirting.

And last night in the first floor rec room, Freddie and Sam P. worked on their webcast, but there were some technical problems. As you might expect, they bantered and then broadcast the show.

And now heading into TOWN, where I'm definitely not at the moment....

Harper worked on a sun painting in the window display of Things Reborn, but there was actually a rainy day sale. Before turning into an animal, Seifer was focused on the movie from Computers at Groovy Tunes. At Turtle & Canary, Hope spent a lot of time with her cell phone, both texting and ignoring calls.

Bod was quiet at Luke's, but he got some visitors. Professor Skywalker continued checking in on students by talking to him about any grief. And Ariel updated him on deep frying... cherry tomatoes? I'm not one to grandstand and editorialize in these broadcasts, but please, people, stop her from doing these things if you see her trying them. Not only can it not be healthy, but it just sounds disturbing.

At Caritas, Jessica was a little late, but she was in plenty of time for her customer, Jaina. They caught up, which was necessary since Jaina is from a different galaxy. And at the Devil's Nest, Maladicta was just fine with the weather Fandom has been having.

But the big news of the day was the Strawberry Social in the park, hosted by Vida. Among the arrivals and minglers, Raven gave Jono a hug when he stopped over to say hi and catch up about the 80's and Jono's new uniform. Ariel wore a lot of red - and hopefully didn't deep fry any strawberries - needed Jack Carter to reintroduce himself since she talks to every new student she can find and we apparently start to get jumbled together. Her conversation with Jono was a bit more pleasant since they actually remembered each other, and they took some time to catch up and see who's fitting their roles in each others' lives.

Marshall and Sam L. talked about sunless, rainy Tokyo and Sam agreed to give up his skateboard with all of its Hello Kitty stickers. Kennedy and Raven caught up, with kennedy telling Raven about presents and Raven telling Kennedy about how she was a half-vampire for a weekend. Speaking of vampires, apparently Emma recently had a run-in with some thanks to Jack Priest, so when she caught up with Alex Karev, she vowed to go shopping in New York to help her get over it.

Peter and Annie checked in for the first time since the Welcome Picnic. Xander and Kennedy said hi and - again - I'm assured that there was no awkwardness. By the food, Raven checked in with Surreal to see how she's adjusting to Fandom. And, of course, there was some dancing.

Okay, Fandom, that's all for me today. But seriously, help me out here. Call the station and see if you can get me someplace that I at least kind of recognize.
